Ok Italian

This restaurant serves OK Italian food at an exorbitant price.

We ordered for a Brocolli soup with some garlic bread. The soup was well done but that is what is expected of a restaurant claiming to tbe serving authentic Italian. The garlic bread came in CKU - completely knocked down unit - you need to apply butter, garlic, tomatoes and basil your self and ask the waiter for some cheese grated on top of your piece. Sometimes, it takes a while before the waiter realizes what we asked for and oblige.

The restaurant is done up in white - no frills - but i sometimes wonder - are all Italian restaurants supposed to be dressed up in white without any much ambiance.

We ordered a risotto and a pasta - bth were decent without much to say. They were not bad but not out of the world.

The bill surely is out of the world though.

Overall, average Italian food !

BEST BEST, THE BEST NORTHY GRUB

I am techie in Bangalore for the last 5 years and follow the routine office struggle and also the usual grub struggle each day - at breakfast , lunch and dinner!

I have been in bangalore for some
time. I have tried innumerable places
- from the dingy ones to the poshest ones. I have never come across a place
that truly satisfies you and go out without feeling a guilt of
overspending or calorie spree - only till last week.

A place called Mast Kalandar - is an answers for all my prayers - I could not ask for more. After a hard day at work - what you need is a good stomachful and here it - all the grub that you ever wanted.

Well - one of my collegues suggested this place on CMH road, and three of us landed a few days back for dinner to find the place to be brightly lit. I found the menu to be quite exciting yet concise. There is everyting - paneer, dal, paranthas, rajma, kadi...also some odd ones which I dont remember.

I tried the Patiala buttermilk, which was really Patiala and good too - just the way it should be and then ordered a SINFUL PANEER - what a name. I thought this would be usual reddish paneer gravy that I have been eating in Bangalore all these years with some naans that stech to infinity.

To my surprise - the panner was not red. It was subtle and creamy and it was beautifully servied together with makhani dal and 2 butter naans (ehich were crisp) with some curd and salad. Boy - ths was heaven. the paneer just melted in the mouth and dla reminded me of the Punjab dhabas.

My friend had Power Combo - it had some interesting Jowar and Bajra Roits with some palak ki daal. Great once again.

This was the place I thought - the answer to all my prayer. My firned had some parrnatha - I think Mirchi and that was quite innovative and tasty. We shared a Rajma Chawal and finished it with some really great Malpuas.

We came out absolutely delighted spending only about half of what I will spend at some of the fancier places for half the quality.

I have already been there about 4 times since then in about 10 days. I am told they have other branches as well and they deliver to your place for free.

Good value for money and great taste- not to be missed - recommended to all ! enough said.
