Living in domlur or indira nagar which is about a 10 min walk from TGIF is a good thing and a bad thing. The good thing is TGIF is very close to your house, the bad thing is that TGIF is VERY close to your house.
You will end up shelling out atleast 350 bucks for a reasonable dish and another 300 bucks for a cocktail. So be prepared to spend atleast 650 bucks with drinks or 350 bucks for food. If you get over this initial mental block.. you are bound to love TGIF cuz they serve yummy food, lipsmacking cocktails and provide you a good - unrushed ambience. Their quantities are very generous.. I believe 3 people can share two dishes and be full.
From 4pm to 8.30pm, their happy hours are on so you can get a free drink with any drink you order, so thats two fo rthe price of one; good economy.

They are located on the second floor of the building above A2B on CMH road.. not very far from the turning of pizza hut.
This is my fav haunt for 'eastern cuisine.' Infact their tangline says "far eastern cuisine" which in itself conveys that it's alot more than just chinese food. Infact my fav dish here is the sumatra fish in a slightly sweet red curry. I absolutely love it along with plain steamed rice. The place is a tad expensive but the decor, service and food more than make up for the prices.. The waiters are very courteous and serve you well.
Their cocktails are reasonably priced around 200rs. So for a couple, who have 2 cocktails, 1 starter and main course; the dinner will cost you upwards of 800rs. I would prefer shiok over Mainland China anyday..
This place gets my double Thumbs Up!

I loved my dinner at this place on a friday night. First of all, it;'s not very crowded and has a nice simple decor.. I loved teh white textured walls against the spartan furniture.
The first thing they serve you is a basket of assorted breads.. For main course, my boyfriend had fillet-o-fish on a base of mashed potato while I had the bacon lafelle (something like that). Both of the dishes were very tasty and the quantity was GOOD. They serve the dish along with some geen veggies on the side which makes the food rich in fibre as well.
My only grouse about this place is that they don't have printed menus. They write the menu on a big blackboard.. but most of it gets crammed and you are not able to read it easily so you end up relying on the judgement of your waiter..
In any case, this place is a must-go for people who want to spend under 300 bucks for a meal and get good value for money. They get my thumbs up!

First of all, their service was really strange. The waiter insisted on speaking right into my friend's ear while telling him about the menu..
We ordered some basic food items along with drinks at The Beach.. One of my friends was really hungry so he ordered chicken biriyani. When it turned up, the chicken was not even fully cooked. The same was the case with my pasta, I could not eat any of the chicken pieces because they were not fully cooked. We finally told the waiter towards the end that our food was not edible, he replaced only my friends order for biriyani and not my pasta.. when the new plate of biriyani turned up, it was just the same as before..
I dunno why The Beach is such a favored location among the bangalore junta, i would rate it very poorly.

I went to Geoffrey's with 2 friends.. the ambience, decor, service are all fairly good.. however the portions of food are too little for the kind of prices they carry. We ordered thai pak chicken for 325rs, it was tasty.. however it barely had 10-12 small pieces of chicken. Guess i won't go there again unless somebody's treating me!
The other funny things is that they have a cover charge for couples for 800 bucks (dunno if thats just a saturday night thing though) Why in the world does a place like geoffrey's have cover charges?
