324 JP Point, Sampige Road, Opposite Food World, Malleshwarm, Malleshwaram, Bangalore

Good

classic taste

the restaurant simply hogs all headlines among the shanthi sagar chain newspapers. Located bang opposite a complex housing health and glow, coffee day and food vorld, and next to the famous saibaba temple it is the absolute center piece of attraction on sampige road.

starting from breakfast, the dosas are simply unbeatable...with the most delicious being, the cheese masala dosa! the taste lingers in your mouth and u would want to last it forever...! the idlis are mouth watering and the vadas simply crisp and irresistible...!

lunch; the meals are a tad different from other south indian restaurants...their taste mixed with upinkai is simply awesome... the north indian dishes, though made the south indian way, is quite delicious and u cannot, i repeat cannot call it a stop gap arrangement for north indian! this holds same for dinner too....
waiting is normal... gotta have patience for this!
they have a big hall for parties, and man, great service and great food!
cheers!

Excellent

The Asli Highway Experience!

So, The Dhaba, located at the junction after Brigade Road-which connects to koramangala, is a real awesome highway dhaba food joint...
Well, my friend had been here; having suggested it to me, me & him turned up here at around 8 PM on a Thursday night.
The first thing that greeted us was the elegantly dressed doorkeeper who performed his job with utmost satisfaction and poise. The door itself tells of what lies inside in wait. It is really an antique piece of the Punjabi culture...
The waiters dressed up in white sherwani with black waist coats greeted us next, and for a couple of minutes we were just wandering around lost in the ambience and the mindblowing interior decoration! Its unusual truck tyres hanging around, the posters of old hindi films are just amazing to see...!
So first, we ordered the Hara Bhara Kabab, veg of course, and, being western, two PEPSIs...oye, bhad mein jaaye pesticides...
I must tell you not to look at the right side of the menu while ordering anything...it is just worth the money...The taste lingers in the mouth for a long long time...
There is a small bar in the corner; they serve drinks and the beer is very famous... but according to me, such fantastic food cannot be enjoyed with drinks...! its left to you to decide!
The next course was the ultimate sarson da saag and makki di roti... which was simply heavenly in taste and we wanted to just sit there and savor the taste, till they threw us out!

You can try the desserts---- and and and this is a must try---the indomitable lassi! It is pure punjabi in taste and simply fills your stomach over the brim!

And btw, all the cooks are hired from Punjab.

An awesome experience, very expensive; value for money is 100%...
Check it out!
