Eat like a Nawaab
The Taste of Rampur is near to Forum and opposite to Globus. It is on a service road but visible from the main road when going on Hosur Road towards Electronic City. For techies it is on the same road on which Tavant Systems is located. Opposite to Rampur there is a development site which is being used as a Free and Temporary car parking.
Enter Rampur on first floor and your feet's will sink in deep carpeting on the floor. Inside you will be greeted with Awadh style ambiance. Red is used in plenty all over the restaurant. It is spacious and tables are adequately spaced for people to get engaged in a real conversation. Attached is a Bar where you have good selection of drinks. Also there is Hookah for enthusiast.
For ordering Starters there is a wide choice offered. Do make a point to eat any of there Kababs. They are simply mouth watering - goes for Non - Vegetarian as well as Vegetarian. Main course too be have an array of choices , for both gravy items and bread. Pilaf is good but i found it soaked in oil.
For 2 people a meal with starters and desserts would cost you something in between 600 - 700.

Dont go to Utsav in 2006
I have written a review before in which i gave 5/10 to Utsav. After my dinner there on Christmas weekend i would give it 2/10 in terms of food and service. I went on Saturday night and ordered a Paalak Paneer and Chicken Bhoona. The waiter served us Paneer with bread but did not bring Chicken order. On asking the excuse was - You ordered chicken bhoona after making full order - , which was not the case. Also bread that he brought along had to replcaed twice. Also chicken bhoona came after good 20 minutes after bread. Paalak Paneer had no taste of Paalak in it.
When i went and asked the guy at the counter about whats happening, his reply was that the Regular cook is on leave and these things are happening because of that.
I would suggest don't go to UTSAV in 2006.

Music will blow you out
Absolutely rocking ... Hearing nirvana play in purple smoke and a pitcher of beer right in front of you is an experiance in itself and L'O'R gurantees that you enjoy it all. Music is great, they have BOSE speaks installed and from time to time there are live shows as well. Though you dont get much to eat, ordering a Potato basket will definitely be economical. No Entry Fees here. Weekends the place is Jam packed so make sure that you arrive early.

Good Food but cramped
Utsav caters to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Place is small as both restaurant and bar are on the same floor. If you want to have a good dinner with beer this is the place. Not very costly, non-veg starts at 80 and veg at 60, but only down side is the lack of space.
