The Taj West End, 25, Race Course Road, Bangalore

Excellent

Too Expensive For Vietnamese But Nice

If you are thinking that Vietnamese in Bangalore would be cheap because most other things in India are cheap? Well think again.

I am accustomed to spending about Rs.280 for a dosa back home in Australia. However since we have a large Vietnamese community in Australia, we don't pay as much for the food you get in Blue Ginger.

So quite frankly, I don't see a problem with paying an exorbattant price for Vietnamese in a country where the Vietnamese population is either small or non existant.

Anyway, back to the topic of this restaurant, I found the food to be nice, the waiter service attentive like any other place I have been to in Bangalore and the ambience will make you feel like you're in another country. So if you want tasty and hygenic food and an experience without paying for a plane ticket to Vietnam, go to Blue Ginger.

I hope this type of food will take over the rotten Indian Chinese that is common in India and I hope it will bring the prices down once the demand is there.

Excellent

Brilliant!!!

The momos, the teas, the bruscetta and tiramissu cake are just divine in this hip but classy joint.

Waiter service is excellent and I will be one of the places I go to eat in Bangalore again and again.

Just a warning: The upstairs area is a smoking area, while downstairs is non smoking.

Average

Rubbish Italian Food

I went to Sunny's and I must say, it was one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to in Bangalore.

For entree, I had chicken won tons. It was soaked with soya sauce. So what sauce did they give as a side dish? They gave soya sauce!

For main meal, my cousin had a lamb lasagne and I shared a pepperoni pizza with my other cousin. The lamb lasagne had too much tomato sauce and not enough cheese to cover the sour taste of tomato. The cheese on the pizza tasted like grilled cheese on toast that my mum used to make. The burnt smell of the cheese convinces me that they didn't use mozarella.

For desert we had green tea ice cream, chocolate and hazelnut mousse and tiramissu. The green tea ice cream tasted like pista ice cream without the pistaccio. I could only taste the chocolate in the mousse and tiramissu had an eggy taste.

I also had a latte. I had to peel the skin off the top of the milk. I don't have to do that when I go to coffee day.

The only great things about the restaurant are the waiter service, which was efficient and friendly as well as the complimentary bread and garlic butter.

I give 1 star for the food and 5 stars to the service, hence the average rating for the restaurant.

I am from Australia, one of my cousins is from Dubai and the other cousin is from Bangalore.
