The Mirador, 131, B New Link Road, Andheri (E), Chakala, Mumbai

Good

A gr8 place to chill out in Andheri W

It was a pleasant surprise to discover this quiet little cafe right in my backyard , at hotel Mirador in Andheri (E).
This side of the highway anyways has a serious dearth of good places to chill unless you go to the 7-stars so this cafe comes across as just-the-place you want to meet up with friends or grab a bite post a meeting with your colleagues.

The seating is very comfortable - sofas where you can lounge and chat for hours as well as prim wooden chairs for a brisk brunch . I particularly like the attention given to small details like the coffee beans in the vases etc. Even the lighting is just right, not too stark like some of the popular cafes and not too dingy like the shady-bar-restaurants.

the spread is similar to a CCD / barista but the sandwiches are way better and cheaper ( yes actually ! ). The drinks are basic but coffee is decent. The Lemon ice tea is recommended. There are some interesting breads and cookies on the menu too but I've never tried.

The best part about the place
a. its location ( for all those who rue the absence of a CCD in andheri e)
b. Its ambeince. Very comfortable and inviting
c. It doesnt burn a hole in the pocket at all. an evening for two
with soup-salad-sandwich-dessert will not cost more than 300 /-

Oh yess and their pastries are yummmmm.

Only pitfall : It closes at 8- 830pm. ( too bad.. but I'm hoping if enough people go to it, they might re-consider that :-) )

p.s. Its my first blog here - pl excuse the rookie errors if any.
