Good Mangalorean food

I agree with the previous reviewer. Good ambience and good food. Very authentic and the seafood is very fresh. They recently introduced a new rule that they may have to change in order to keep the diners coming in. They don't allow children under 12 years on Saturday and Sunday nights. This is because the restaurant is on the 3rd floor and open-air and they felt that some parents didn't have a good handle on the kids running about. The waiters are too busy with the large crowd on weekend nights to keep an eye on them. Still, if you can go for lunch on the weekend or during the week, it's a very nice place.

Average food

We went to this place once at the old location and once more recently at the new location. This time work was still going on and it was really noisy and we had to ask them to stop for fear of getting a headache. The noise stopped after a good 15 mins. It was a warm day outside and since the place is on a covered terrace, the hot sunlight came streaming in and the fans were inadequate.
Now for the food. We first had a forgettable shrimp starter then ordered pork chops and a tortellini dish with clams (don't remember the exact description).
The pork chops were good but the tortellini was entirely different from what was described in the menu. The stuffing was completely different and there was no sign of any clams. I felt cheated and even though we complained about it, no one bothered to come over and apologise or rectify it.

nothing spanish about it

We went there for the Sunday lunch buffet (Rs. 550 plus tax), which includes unlimited beer, wine and sangria. Unless you drink LOTS of wine and beer, its totally not worth it. Almost all the food was inedible and not at all spanish. I've been to Spain so I should know. The Sangria had gone bad, the milkshakes were really Nandini bottled flavored milk, the made to order spanish omelet was burnt and extra salty with huge lumps of potato thrown in, the made to order pizza was as thin as a wafer, the made to order sandwiches can be easily made at home and the seafood paella was nauseating. The best things were the icecream and the chocolate mousse which were probably not house-made. Service was very slow. I can go on and on about the rest of the dishes, but why bother? I'm really puzzled with the other reviews.

Authentic Korean Food

I've been to Soo Ra Sang 3 times and I had great dishes every time. The food is authentic and it should be since it is owned and run by a Korean lady! You'll find the clientele to be mostly Korean - another good sign of authentic food. The ambience is nice - not extremely Korean but it is clean and pleasant. My favorite was the various barbecues done right at our table served with a delicious assortment of small side dishes and condiments. Everything is cooked to perfection.
One dish will serve one person and varies between Rs 250 for vegetarian to Rs 500 for the barbecues and seafood dishes. There is no concept of starters for koreans, so your final bill will end up being not low, but pretty reasonable.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Bangalore. Not to be missed!

not good

Don't know what the other reviewers are talking about, but if you've actually eaten real french food before, you'll know that this is NOT french cooking. We had calamari for starters and it was obviously frozen because it was tasteless and tough. For the main course we had sausages cooked in red wine and pistachios which was just OK with no trace of red wine, and jumbo prawns in garlic and olive oil which had more oil and garlic than prawns. Maybe the crepes and desserts are better, but the the others are avoidable. The waiters are vague about how the dishes are cooked and there's nothing in the ambience to suggest it is a French restaurant.
