Hmmm...non veg...

Nice food. Not over the top with the oil and stuff.

Great variety of Indian fare available, and at competetive prices.

I wouldn't necessarily suggest you sit and eat there if you are the types who 'needs' air-conditioning, otherwise, its quite pleasant actually, and not too far removed from Bandra / Khar proper for it to be much of a problem.

If you like Mughlai or Punjabi cuisine, this place is definately worth trying out, its a break from your usual home cooked food, it is quite rich and filling. Everything is decently priced...

2.5 Stars...

Its a nice place to eat at. If you are bored of the area's multiple choices of low budget meals, and you haven't really been here before, then its probably worth a try for you.

Its strictly a Mughlai restaurant, although according to them, they serve chinese food as well, I wouldn't really know if you would come to a place like this and order chinese... but to each his/her own I say.

Not the greatest decor in the world, not even close in fact. This is a strictly come eat and go, type place. They make tasty Mughlai food, but then do so many other places as well. If you are bored and wanna try this place out, go for it, but don't go out of your way to come here...

Quite Nice.

I come to places like Kobe's to have what I'm craving for, which is undoubtedly the sizzler, I even have my favorite one, whether I'm at Kobe's or another place, I always order my "Steak with Chicken and Cheese", its got white meat, red meat, and cheese, how can it possibly be bad?

I think I can certainly say that I have never been disappointed. I am also a huge condiment fan, so as soon as my sizzler arrives, I start attacking it with liberal amounts of chilli flakes, pepper, mustard, ketchup, and whatever else I can find to throw in.

Someone mentioned "gumbo" in one of their reviews somewhere, that is much the manner in which I like to have my sizzler, and places such as this, offer me that opportunity.

Its not easy on the pocket, certainly, but then again, how often do you come out to eat a sizzler, it is definately filling, very few people I ever eat sizzlers with EVER manage to finish everything on the plate, I pride myself at being one such person.

Easily expect to pay about Rs. 350 / head, more so if you are thinking of a dessert and Iced Tea, although a couple with smallish appetites can manage to share a sizzler and a dessert with some drinks, and can find it an affordable splurge for a night out.

One thing that I would like to mention though, is that Kobe's has a nice snack menu that many people overlook, they have sandwiches and burgers, at very competative rates, I would definately suggest that anyone visiting try some of these snacks, they are filling and they give you some options that you wouldn't normally get otherwise.

Good food, but worth it?

Way back in the day "Copper Chimney" was THE place to go to for a great Indian meal, especially if you were talking about Butter Chicken.

I seem to remember this restaurant as being really swanky and posh, and the ultimate place to be taken out to by family friends etc.

Mumbai has always had these perennial favorties where families visiting from abroad would be taken to by their 'local' friends.

Copper Chimney has for a long time now, been one such place.

The last few times I've visited this place though, I have come to realize that although their food is great, in today's day and age, with our competative markets, "Copper Chimney", has sort of been left behind by the competition. I'm not saying that their service is any worse than it used to be, nor am I saying the food quality has declined.

Its just that 'back in the day', this restaurant used to be a PLACE to go to, now it rarely even makes the conversation as a suggestion of a place to go to eat.

As far as I'm concerned, you get better quality food, and far less 'posh' type places, and priced far far more decently.

Copper Chimney has been requiring a facelift for a while now, they need to target a younger generation in their ambience and presentation, good-old-fashioned service, is available at a lot more affordable rates, all over the city, I hope this establishment doesn't get left behind for its lack of keeping up with the competition.

Lets hope they get revamped and reinvented, for all us folks from 'back in the day' to relive some of our more nostalgic times in a place that isn't living in the past anymore.

Decent...

The location isn't neceassarily the most convenient, but once you get here, the ambience is nice enough for you to forget about travelling to this corner of Bandra.

The food is strictly passable, but the variety of cuisine(s) available are truly commendable. In this form of fast-food takeaways, you don't usually get these kind of affordable (?) prices, with this kind of continental fare. You get your desi-collaborative rolls and what not, but over all the other more substantial meal options are palatable, considering the prices you may have to pay for similar dishes in the bigger restaurants.

Be careful when visiting to get there a little early, this place has a policy in place which states that after a certain time in the evening the prices of their dishes are slashed by a certain percentage, which basically means that after that time everyone crowds into the restaurant, and pretty much buys everything thats available... which usually means that you don't get what you want to eat because someone has already finished it.

Worth coming here once every now and then, too bad they don't have a branch in Andheri anymore, I heard they used to but it closed down... oh well...
