The place situated in the middle of nowhere, made me very apprehensive of it even before I got a peek of it. We went there on a weekday and were seated there by 8:30pm. And from there on it was a amazing ride into the world of taste, aroma and art (yes art!!).
Ambiance: With the first step into the place you cannot help but be impressed by the fantastic job done by the interior designer. The place is decorated with amazing paintings and artifacts that rightfully set you into the mood for a tasteful experience. Attention to detail evident in every element of the place. They have a indoor seating arrangement which has been extremely well done, but if you are in the mood to enjoy the weather they also have outdoor pool-side seating.
Food: The place boasts of the best of the best Mediterranean and African cuisines. We started with a their soup followed by the starters and Salads. The salad stood out exceedingly well. On trying out their pizza we realized that it not their strength, although it was good enough to give any mainstream Italian joint a run for its money. On to the main course, we had a good chance to try out most of the menu as we were in a group of 6 people. The Grilled Mediterranean Chicken was fantastic and similar was the reaction of my fellow mates for Chicken Tagine and Shakshuka. The desserts were the real knock-out punch, I must say i have had the tiramisu and molten chocolate cakes in every spot in India, but nothing compared to this delight. People should definitely try the Apple Crumble as well.
Presentation: When i say attention to detail, picture this, all the plates are painted by hand making each dish unique. The food was served in the Moroccan crockery. Its was a delight to see and eat the food before you.
Attendants: Found them to be very knowledgeable and warm. The good part is that they were paying constant attention to us, and also making us aware of what we were eating and details of the cuisine.
Location: This is the only let down, as the place runs deep into Warje. It can be very difficult to find especially if you are landing in that area for the first time.
All in all it was an experience which has been etched into my memory and raised my expectations of food and service at every place. A must visit, but be ready to shell out around 1500-1600 for a meal for two.
