Those days are gone...

Time was when Pecos was the happening place for rock-and-roll (no hair bands, for that you can go to Styx) and pitchers of beer. If you were hungry it was solid standard fare, which went well with the beer.

In the past 3 years it's all gone downhill.

Pecos:

--has pretty lousy beer
--plays mediocre music too much
--has lowered the quality of their food

and...

THE PLACE IS FILTHY. Don't even look at the floor on your way in or you won't want to order anything.

Someone needs a steam-bath and a new manager, methinks.

living on reputation only

with a tavernish look and feel and the recommendations of the locals ths place was a let down with very poor beer, poor music system and average grub. i know the tavern feel and all that but in this age of bose and great draught the trade off for the nostalgia is too much.
don't intent going here till it sees a makeover atleast of the beer and the scratchy sound system....

pecos serves hydro's beer

- Beer sux,all watery,no taste. I gulped 2 pitcher's and was out with not even a bit tipsy

- serving was not good. wrong bill

- nothing classy/famous about the music

- I wouldn't want to hear divorced irish singers song of despair..well, that was played like for real long time..:(

- go there if u have quit drinking beer but just wanted something to drink which looks like beer... no alcohol test meter can rate u high for sure .or if u wanna have free pop corns or you wanna torture yourself with regrettion..lola

Go for the Chilly pork !

Been to Pecos in the past , but this time round i went there alone just to take sometime out to write this review !.
Pecos i must say is a Pub for the college goers and adults alike !...lots of smoke and loud music as you enter the top floor !.
the Beer was good , i had it along with chillly pork , and then ordered for a plate of coorg pork ....simply awesome !.
their prices range from Rs 100 to Rs130 per dish ...and Rs 200 for one Pitcher of Beer ....and of course i couldnt finish it all !.
all in all ...a good experience if you simply want some good coorgie food to go along with your beer .

Service - okish ( they get their Bills in a soup cup for some unknown reason !)

Food -- good , try the chilly pork and chiken tikka ,

Ambience ---not my kind ,..dont visit this place if you want to make a conversation happen ! cause it wont ....the music is too loud !

Price ---- Rs 300 min ( if you are taking Beer ie )

place.. now better forgotten...

Currently: i went thr las week,n i say u get the worst beer on earth now, jus watered to the core.. tasteless. my fav n still going has been the chicken tikka, if u guys havnt tried out.. try it n i bet its the best in town.. then the so called chilly pork which is sweet,...
What a place it was. Come on guys it was the place i hav had some best pubbin n music experience in ma life. But it was then.

Past: Pecos. wow, it was an amazin place, the place i and ma friends spent 3 afternoons and a weeken evenin for sure in a week for 3 years of ma 5 yr law course.
Guzzlin beer was the best u could thr, carry on the pitcher cards... drink 10 n get one free.. man i had 12 cards. The best in pecos was offcousrse the beer, the food, the music, the lunch n the services and the PLACE dark, congested, gay watchers, regulars, joseph kids, fresh lime drinkers, foodies.....................

Pecos was ma second hme maybe if i can call, 10 mins drive from our coll, the best beer i had then, the pub lunch, great service, popcorn, chicken tikkas, pork..... it was jus a great home.

Maybe Pecos needs to wake up to the reality and serve all bloreans some grt beer maan.. u shud do it for us to get comin back....
