I know.. i know.. they use a lot of oil/dalda in their food.. but it tastes amazing!! and once in a while, i don't mind pampering myself with their mutton biryani and mutton kassa or mutton kalia..
I have never been a huge mutton fan.. but lazeez has changed my perception.. the mutton they use in their dishes is perfectly cooked and well marinated.. here is the decription of my ideal meal at Lazeez!
Mutton Biryani (~Rs.80): the biryani rice is really authentic.. you have to see the length of the rice dana to believe it.. and it is perfectly cooked with kesar and other mild spices.. since this is mughlai type, you won't find the biryani spicy at all.. the curry will do that trick for you.. And if you are very hungry, you can go for the Mughlai mutton biryani (~Rs.100).. it is not different in taste, just that the quantity of rice and mutton pieces is more.
Mutton Kassa/ Mutton Kalia (~Rs.70): this is what you need with a plate of mutton biryani.. ignore the oil floating on top and taste the rest with the biryani.. and you wont need anything else.. The kalia is a bit thinner, while kassa is otherwise..
Firni (~Rs.25): After the hearty meal, have a Firni, and thats it! you are done for the next 6 hours.. :)
The service is ok, you dont need to worry much as the food arrives quite quickly. You might need to catch the attention of the waiter after the food has arrived, though.
The ambience is nothing special.. it is only meant for people who want to hog.. don't go there expecting a perfect ambience for a date!!
Overall, this stays my aim every weekend, atleast once..!

I haven't had anything other than the rolls here, and I haven't had them at the restaurant. It's always been a take away for me, but I've never felt let down by the rolls at this place. This isn't one of those swanky aplces, so you can toss things like ambiance and service outta the window.

First, don't sit in the restaurant. Order to go, take away the food... anything but sit in there. The ambiance is filthy and I was afraid I'd get septicemia just by resting my elbows on the edge of the table.
The rolls are all there is to write about. The chicken, paneer and egg rolls were above average. The rest is either sub-standard or pretty awful.

This place may definitely not win an award for hygiene but sells the best rolls ever!! The meat is nicely roasted and is filling too. The prices are super reasonable. Good for a quick bite when you are really hungry and cannot wait for any fancy options.
