Great for 'meals ready' too but in my opinion, simply the best Andhra style Chicken Biryani in town. Notes re kitchen hygiene etc not withstanding , I still return. It helps that have a cast iron stomach and a foodie . Take your hankies or trail some tissue paper , cry your heart out if you must , while smoke billows from your ears , but if you are not vegetarian, a visit to Nagarjuna without having their famed CB ( small/large) is unthinkable.
It comes golden- heaped up on a tiny plate , and is popped on the banana leaf by the attentive waiter . Two katoris of Raita and a hot Yellow Curry accompany this. Mix that into the biryani. They give you a rasam if you ask for it . Ask for the green tamarindy chutmey they normally serve with the ' meals ' , as its a great combo with the biryani. Substantial chicken, flaming chili , and a great combo of simple flavors, you will certainly know what hot food does to your endorphins and metabolism ! You are sweating, tears streaming , you can barely speak , but whew, what a fabulous way to go ! Advice : Order the buttermilk or a diet coke with this straight road to perdition .
I know people who enjoy the Chicken 65 et al , and these side dishes are hothothot , but great . But the core is the famed Chicken Biryani, and thats what takes me back everytime.
Whats with the security guard who gives such a warm salute and personalised welcome as you enter ? It does not quite suit their simple , basic ambience . As its so obviously over the top, I always feel a little sorry for him, and thank him particularly . Otherwise service at the table is very good - and superfast ! Stewards keep a careful eye on traffic, tables and customers .
If you are really good , on your way out, you can even have a chocolate fudge with vanilla ice cream at Corner House on the ground floor .Presuming the belt has a couple of notches that can be opened up .

Whenever my tongue itched for some spicy Andhra grub, I used to collect a few of my friends and head towards Nagarjuna. Now, back in Bangalore after a long gap, I encountered the familiar itching once again and succumbed to the temptation that would surely leave me sedentary for the rest of the afternoon. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I was pretty disappointed to see that the standards have dropped quite significantly. I noticed this uniformly across all their food items - not just in the main course, but in the side orders and even in the "gun-powder" and pickes placed at every table.
Believe that this deterioration is happening across Andhra joins here - friends have bemoaned the state of Nandhinis for some time now; as they have of Eden Park and Gonguras. Is RR the last remaining bastion of Andhra food as I knew it?
This review shall also find its place in an eclectic collection of my reviews at http://re-view-central.blogspot.com. Do check it out when you get the chance.

Nagarjuna has the best Andhra style biryanis in Bangalore. People will argue, some will say RR, some will say Nadhini but once you've tried Nagarjuna you can never go back.
Order their mutton biryani with a side order of roast chicken, fish fry and an omlette. A coke to quench the burn and an ice-cream at Corner House below.
Bliss. Sleep.

Pros:
Ambience - Good
Service - Average. Waiters are not interested in explaining about alternative options, if required.
Food - Awesome place for non-vegetarians. Their biryanis rock! I tried chicken biryani, it tasted exactly like chicken biryani.
Quantity - The small plate chicken biryani itself was just enough for me.
Cost - Affordable.
Cons:
This is not the place for vegetarians or egg-etarians. They dont even have egg biryani in their menu card.
