i saw the review in times of india by priya bala on 18/05/07 and visited cohiba club on last sunday fortunatly they had a awsome brunch buffet serving cuban food their mirror presentaions with different kinds of international cheeses and coldcuts and the salmon pate mirror was par excelled for which i can rate ten out of ten and comming to the dessert they had authentic cuban flan and arroz con leche very impresive even the bar serves excellent mojitos and sangria which can't be compared with any other bars or any lounges and their cigar collection is very good as i don't smoke but i could get a chance to see and know about the cigars, they have a rage of cigars which costs nearly 37000/- each piece of cigar. overall i could say a different place to hang around and a very good place to dine their cuisine is exotic i went through the menu they have a very good selection of menu. suggest to visit this place to live a latin life style.

One of the best place for cigars, also good food and a trendy hi tech bar. Also the latino music is authentic. A place with a difference!!!!!

I went in expecting decent food and decent prices. I think the pricing put me off the place even before I started having the food.
The menu is Cuban as the Cigar thing would suggest. Every single dish had a Spanish name. (My Spanish escapes me beyond pollo.) There were suggestions below, but for people who had never tried spanish cuisine, we had no idea that paella is some sort of rice. I cannot recall the names of the dishes... but I can recall the prices. All the starters were priced 190 and above... which kind of put a dent on my appetite... This was not a special dinner or anything, this was just a weekday evening out... and I never thought it was going to blow holes in my pocket. I think my expectations were severly raised due to the pricing of the dishes. I quite liked the starter which we ordered, which was something like meatballs with cuban sauce. I like beef, and it was done quite well. So no complaints from me on that, though I dont think it was all that great to deserve 190/-. The main course, my friend ordered a chicken dish, and I asked for something with fish. (I am very partial to fish). The pricing was again exhorbitant. Around 360/- per dish or more. I thought the chicken was ok, but my fish was appalling. It smelt & tasted like it was Gutted, Dried and salted and made good for storage. No amount of cheese dumped on it could make it taste good. For people who are not used to fresh fish, it might not make a difference, but for people like me who grew up on fresh fish, this one stank as soon as it was kept in front of me. And the portions for both were tiny! For the kind of money we were shelling out, we expected the food to be good, fresh atleast, and of a certain quantity. You cant blame the entire price on the ambience, which though good is nothing great!
This could be another place just meant for expats... but I am not sure even they would be willing to shell out that kind of money for such so-so food.
All in all, a disappointing experience. I wonder if it was my choice in dish, or if it prevails across, but the fish had me grumbling all the way. I might have felt slightly less bad, if it hadn't been so expensive. My entire sorry story is written down in detail in the suggestion book which held only rave reviews for the restaurant.
