Imperial- for not so imperial food

I really dont know why people rave so much about this joint. A sure fire recipe for a bad restaurant is lousy food coupled with arrogance on the part of the management. Which this restaurant seems to be having in tons!!!!

The only redeeming feature of this place seems to be the fact that it opens late in the night ( I wonder how they do it since all hotels, even the ones serving only food, close latest by 11.30). Apart from that nothing works in this place. The biriyani they serve is an apology for all good biriyanis I have tasted. Ditto for their coloured curries and even more coloured kebabs.

And arrognace of the staff is to be seen to be believed. They plonk the food in front of you as if they are doing you a favour and never accept responsiblity for the bad food.

Beware the next time you eat in any of their joints.

Bad food, consistently

They consistently serve below average food and always have lousy service. Used to eat at the place on residency road as it used to be open late. Would not recommend this place unless it is late and everything else is closed and you do not want to spend on the coffee shops at the 5 star hotels.

They served me Rotten Chicken Kebabs

Hello All,

This is my way of getting back at Imperial Koramangala for serving Bad Chickn Kebabs and being unapologetic about it.

Well, the incident happened on Saturday 17th Feb. I am huge fan of Kebabs at Imperial, to satisfy my fetish for chicken kebabs we went to Koramangala Imperial around 10.00 PM. We ordered kebab and other stuff. I drooled over kebab before I tasted the kebab that was probably a rotten chicken, it smelled dead and taste was horrible, I spit it back and asked the waiter (and the guy who takes orders) to come see what they have surprised. To my surprise the guy who takes orders thought that I am trying to cheat on the dinner and trying to get a free meal, and he tasted the rotten chicken, and said that it is fine. I offered to pay the bill and get out. Coz I don’t want any of that dead chicken for a wiater in Imperial thinks that it is good. I think they do serve kebabs like that, so may be it is normal to serve rotten chicken. I could not eat anything else there, coz that rotten chicken kebab piece had left a bad taste in my mouth. One guy came to us with an apology but nevertheless they gave me a bill that included the rotten chicken kebab. We left and end of story.

Not only this restaurant many have turned draconian. They are so cocky that they would like to prove that they have served good food and somehow you are responsible for the bad food on the table.

Well, my advice: keep away from Imperials, or you will never know you will end up like me spending the entire Sunday in the toilet.

With a bit stable stomach on Monday
