Finally one authentic Lebanese option!

I had this craving for lebanese food (mainly falafel & humus) last evening and i decided to burrp for some options. I could only find Ta'am so i decided to check it out.

After lot of 'hit-trial' in finding the place when i finally got there i wasnt impressed with the smelly & somewhat low profile ambience. But anyway i was too hungry to care about that by then, so i tried it anyway. And then things were a bit different.

I must say i was impressed with the taste and quality of the food. Prices werent too bad either. Hence I have a winner for you all!! Go try it out if you like lebanese food.

As i put in my review title as well, this the only lebanese restaurant in whole of bangalore that i know of as of today. So i am eager to know and evaluate more options. Please burrp and let me know if you are aware of any other.

Lebanese food that fits the pocket

Situated in a silent corner, off the 100 ft. road at Koramangala, you may actually miss a small yellow and green board of this extremely good joint. The decor of the place is mixture of warm and spartan, comfort and contemporary. You would love the fresh yellows, greens and other pastels in the place.

One corner has a nice sitting propped up with mattresses and pillows, while the other places to sit are more like benches and round tables. The restaurant is surprisingly not too crowded most of the times, which is quite surprising seeing the quality of food served there.

Coming to the food, its basic Lebanese with an option of a platters and standalones. The food is essentially vegetarian, not for meat lovers at all. The salad bar is above average and gives you a good collection of beans, greens, pasta, sauces and pickles.

The platter that we ordered came with 2 Pitas, Hummus and Falafel, with a vast array of pickles and a well made salad.

If you are the types who would not want to fret on filling the pitas yourself, you can opt for ones that are pre filled for you too. And, if you ask me that is a better option.

The only problem with the place is the lack of choice. Its too focussed in its approach. To some it may sound good, but for me, I would have liked to see some experiments in the menu.

For instance, a choice of falafel with Indian flavors is an option.
But a great place to go for Lebanese food that does not hurt the pocket much. A meal for two can cost as low as Rs. 300-350.

GO ahead, its worth a shot.
