Whoever suggests the place has a very bad taste in life. This place will kill your taste buds for the a week. Was there anything to be consumed??? Yes, it was just the mineral water. Abnormally expensive, unfit to be a restaurant. I now realize that I made a horrible mistake of not referring this site before trying out :( :(
Can we have this restaurant closed??? Lets save people from wiping out their appetite. This site requires that we give a rating (with 1 being minimum). Arey this place doesnt deserve even 0.25 stars!!!
People, AVOID this.

After I read about the "old Delhi" food, and saw the line of people waiting to get in, I thought, "Hmm, worth a try".
It definitely wasn't worth the Rs. 2000+ that it cost the 3 of us (2 adults and 1 child) to eat there.
The food was wellllll below average, not Delhi food (unless you're Delhiite without tastebds), and too spicy without being tasty. The paneer and chicken starters were lousy, the main course was cold and tasteless and the desserts were entirely forgettable.
They even screwed up our cocktail order, by adding "bad" alcohol, that caused the drink to get "curdled"!!!! Yuck!
Definitely not worth visiting again.

If you want to spend a evening in a very disastrous way, Then this is the Place to visit. They serve you the very worst in everything and cost you everything. So based on my experience i should re-term MTP as MTA.It just sucks.

MTP ? - think they shd call themselves - NEP Not even parathas ! honest ! lets see why I call them lousy ...
FOOD ? The parathas we ordered were just not there ..worse than we can expect . Thse guys have built a hyped themselves so much but the food quality is not even par....and prices horridly expensive for the helpings and quality ! seemed like a bad joke.
DECOR ? Now having a restaurant decor I found very gaudy and gauche and all that - I mean it was too heavy on the senses and garish (- saying it is "Purani dilli" recreated didnt help to soothe my senses , no it didnt )
SERVICE ? - oh man - it was bad - like when we finished and were walking out of a bad dream with a greasy heavy oily taste in the mouth,,,,we were thrilled to see the plate of saunf and churan near the exit door...but the 'Churan pellets' and 'saunf' had finished ...at 10.30pm?...maybe that was possibly the only good tasting thing around...Anyway much as we waited after repeatedly requesting them to replenish no one really cared to do so - so we decided to give up and walk out with not just the heavy oily but now a bad taste as well Great guys keep it up . way to go..
.
SUMMARY : Dad Decor or even poor service one can excuse iff the food is great - and here was overpriced stuff and lousy food...
uuugh never again . never !

I've had far better paranthas for 1/10th the cost of the most expensive paranthas ( the cheapest paranthas cost 69 bucks some of 'em cost around 250 bucks) served here. Bobby's dhaba next to Ulsoor Gurudwara might not be hygenic but the paranthas they serve are awesome and so bloody inexpensive.
The decor at MTP is OTT. They have cocktails named after Hindi movies. They had a Ghajini special last evening. :D The starter we ordered (besan with cottage cheese filling, don't remember the fancy name) was pathetic. The sweet lassi my friend ordered was actually sour. Can you believe that they don't server dahi (curd) with parantas? I don't think there is any other place that does that. As my friend said, it's like ordering idlis and buying chutney separately. :D
The only thing that tasted good was the complementary namkeen. :P
The paranthas served aren't anything to write home about and are way over-priced. A meal for two with a lassi, a lime soda, a starter and two paranthas each will easily cost anywhere between Rs 1000 - 1500.
