Apart from the settings, as mentioned in a previous post, this place is pretty average. The outdoor settings are very beautiful, but sadly, I can't say that about the food. Now I must be clear here, when I say food, I don't mean the taste of the food, but I mean the food - price ratio. For what you pay, you don't get the quantity and quality that you'd expect.
The pasta that we ordered tasted ok (it wasn't bad), but the quantity was a little less, while the starters weren't anything great. If you're willing to pay a little more, you can get amazing food at Sunny's down the road. I won't rate this place as poor because if you're the kind who likes to have a slow, lazy lunch gazing into the eyes of your lady love on a nice, sunny day in the outdoors, then this is the palce to be. Lazy look, ok food, great settings.

We just happen to stumble into this place. The outdoor set up did it for us. But I really wish they got rid of the cob-webs hanging around!!! Food is okie dokie, nothing out of the world. Very reasonably priced.

Don't know what the other reviewers are talking about, but if you've actually eaten real french food before, you'll know that this is NOT french cooking. We had calamari for starters and it was obviously frozen because it was tasteless and tough. For the main course we had sausages cooked in red wine and pistachios which was just OK with no trace of red wine, and jumbo prawns in garlic and olive oil which had more oil and garlic than prawns. Maybe the crepes and desserts are better, but the the others are avoidable. The waiters are vague about how the dishes are cooked and there's nothing in the ambience to suggest it is a French restaurant.

Echoing the earlier review, this is a very French place - great outdoor seating, umbrella sheds, stone pavements and faux river running around.
Foodwise, great steaks, good crepes and supposedly (I haven't tried any) some fab desserts here. Run by a French chef, I've had the best steak in red wine sauce here - but I should add that when I last checked (for lack of the same taste in my steak) - he was now working with the Leela.
Overall, splendid for a date / relaxed lunch / evening. A meal for 2 would range from around 350 to 450 for starters, juice/soda and main course and about 600 including desserts.

This is a lovely outdoor place. Its extremly french. I wouldn't say outstanding food but is good. The ambience of this restaurant did it for me. Just 2 waiters and not so great service. Continental cuisine.
