The best mashed potatoes

Casa Piccola has been a favourite ever since I came to bangalore. Nestled in the underground of Westminister, it serves really good Euro food. That is, if you are fond of cheesy stuff and not too conscious of your diet. Plus, they serve it in HUMUNGOUS quantities... something you need to work up your appetite to.

The ambience is very relaxed. You can be either one of a pair, a part of a group or a member of a family eating out and still find the atmosphere charming. These days I think they have introduced live singing too. There's outdoor seating which is good as long as you dont get bitten by mosquitoes. The indoor seating is quite nice too... and I've spent hours there watching cricket matches. The waiters are quite nice, most of them... they are pleasant & very very prompt and not hesitant in offering suggestions. The best part about Casa's is they never ask their clientile to vacate their seats however huge the crowd is... Everything is relaxed about the place

I've had almost everything at this place too till they changed the menu. I've liked almost everything, probably cos I like cheesy continental stuff... but its worth trying out. Please do not mind the calories. The portions for pasta are huge... but the pasta is yummy, you might as well parcel waht you cant have and take it home. The burgers are too good. there are different versions of them and some of them are just not meat slapped between two buns.
The Sloppy Joe being one of them. The fish burger is nice too, the fish part is nice, though i wouldnt mind more dressing. But you can always order extra tartar sauce and they would be happy to give you the same.
There are light salads and soups if you are not into the heavy meals.
This is one of those places not hesitant to serve beef, so you get steaks too in sizeable quantity. This steak I can finish off.

The best part of Casa, from my point of view in addition to the atmosphere, is the mashed potatoes. I've never had them so good from anywhere else in Bangalore.

Desserts are not all that great... Just barely ok.

There is also a boutique next door to browse through while you wait for the food... though I think people just browse there and never get anything from the boutique. Pretty expensive place! Probably for ex-pats
But all in all Casa's is a great place to enjoy Euro food at decent prices combined with great atmosphere.
