Not the best chinese!
I am always bored after food at Mainland China and until Mugen opened up this was the closest good chinese restaurant. Amazingly all the dishes taste the same.. they dont surprise me ever with a variation in menu. I have tried 4-5 different starters and nothing seems very different in flavor. I agree with the service aspect being slow.. but hell service anywhere in bangalore is spotty at best. If its your day you will leave feeling satisfied but you can never get out of Mainland China feeling you had the best food there. And that dear readers, is what separates good from great.

Very tasty, if not 100% authentic
It's a few weeks since we went here, but having read the previous review I had to add my own comments, as I'd hate to think the restaurant looked so bad, based on one person's experience.
We've heard from other people that the food isn't necessarily very authentic, and I'm no expert on Chinese food so can't really comment, all I do know is that the Mongolian lamb starter is absolutely superb, and the waiters were very knowledgeable and gave excellent advice on spiciness etc, helping us choose a very enjoyable main course. The drinks service was a bit slow, but we've found that in several restaurants so wouldn't single them out on this - overall a very pleasant meal in very nice surroundings.

Sad from the entrance itself
My experience with Mainland China-Indiranagar gives me a bad feeling even now.My mom n i decided impromptu to eat out.We thought of checkin out Mainland China.Entered the place n it was filled to capacity.So we asked for a table for 2.Now as our house is right behind the restaurant i left my phone number at the front desk n asked him to call me once the table's ready.he asked for half an hour's time.Fair enough.waited over an hour n yet no call.Was foolish enough to actually go back to the restaurant to ask for my table,n guess wot,he had given my table to someone else thinkin he's me.Absurd.N the front desk guy was feelin so burdened by all the guests that he couldnt even talk to me.very unprofessional and inhospitable at the front desk itself.I've heard the food is good,but they dont wanna let u in i guess!basically a very sad experience.
