Normally I wouldn't walk into a restaurant like this unless someone recommends it strongly - and that's precisely what happened - it was recommended to me by a close friend.
There's only one word to describe the taste of Mutton at this place - homelike.
On the flip side it has no ambience whatsoever (no-frills eatery you can say), you may need to stand in a queue for a while, and it's not the most hygenic looking places to eat - but having said that, I've eaten unhygenic food at some of the very upmarket restaurants in Bangalore and elsewhere. In long-term experience, Marata Darshan scores on that count too.
You go to this place for good food at very good price (Rs 60 per plate consisting of two chapatis, rice, mutton curry, and another coconut curry). It's an everyday eatery, and that's what Bangalore is short of.
