Ok food, bland service
I had been to Grill House recently after looking forward to the visit ever since TOI rated it quite highly.
About the food: Being a working day lunch, I decided to opt for a soup and a Chicken Burger. The Sweet corn chicken soup was the sweetest I have tasted! Should have expected it considering it comes from the Kilo Kurry Kitchen. Frankly, very disappointed. The Chicken burger redeemed it a bit though, as the patty was quite big and the serving was fairly large. The coleslaw served with it was, well, cold. The fries was done just right. For mayonnaise lovers, ask for extra sauce as the burger doesn't have much of it.
About the service: Slow is the first descriptor which comes to mind. Don't expect the waiters (youngsters who seemed quite disinterested in their job) to help you decide; they are as wooden as they come! My little order (soup & burger) took all of 45 minutes to be served...!
Decor: as basic as they come, but sufficient cleanliness and elbow space ensures one doesn't suffer on this front.
Tail-piece: Ms. Bala of TOI seems to be losing her touch when it comes to reviewing affordable fare; she seems to get easily impressed these days! Will check Burrp more often for 'dependable' reviews!

Bad Steaks
We are just back after eating there. It was first recommended via TOI which gave them a 3+ rating. We ordered the 3 tenderloin steaks and all of them were awful. The vegetables sides were barely cooked and the meat was rubbery. One of the steaks ("Twice Marinated"), the meat, was lemony.
Having eaten steaks at various other places in Bangalore, I found this to be the worst experience and would not recommend it to anyone.
