Hi,
Today I would like to share my experience with the viewers about 13th Floor, M.G.Road.
Yesterday Nov 25, 2008 was my first anniversary and my friends had suggested me to visit 13th Floor as it has a open terrace seating arrangement along with candle light dinner. Although, I knew it was a pub and lounge but still we wanted to enjoy the open terrace candle light dinner. Therefore, we planned to have our 1st anniversary dinner at 13th Floor.
NB: We heard that there is lot of rush there so we thought of booking the seat before hand. We called up and asked for 2 seats to be booked, they said that as it is a Tuesday there won't be any rush and we can just come along and enjoy.
We reached the place at 8:30pm and found that the terrace was full so the manager asked us to sit inside and later whenever there is some place available outside he would make proper arrangements for us. The waiter came and asked whether we would like to place some order. We ordered for some spring roll and two glasses of sprite. They served the order at around 9:00pm. In the meantime, my hubby had asked others, who were attending outside to arrange for some seat as soon as any customer leaves. We saw new people coming and they got the seats outside and we were still sitting inside.
We finished the snacks by 9:30pm and were still waiting for someone to attend us as well. We found people who had ordered drinks were served properly. Till 10:00pm no one came to our seats to ask if we would like to order something else.
After waiting for 1.5 hrs there I got very annoyed and wanted to speak to the manager. I went up to the manager and told him about the services they provided to us. He then immediately managed two seats outside which was empty from the past 45 min and asked us to be seated there. My husband and I was totally annoyed at this and we decided to walk out from that place. And finally, we settled down our bills and we walked out of the lounge.
It was a very special day for us and the most happiest moment of our life. We went to 13th Floor with lots of hope and dreams about the place. After such a bad experience I would recommend people who are non-drinkers please try avoiding this place. They made our special day so painful that we would always remember our 1st anniversary with lots of anger, tears and frustration. Our experience about the 13th Floor is aweful.
Thanks,
one of the customer of 13th Floor

To start of, it was not planned, we just thought of taking a sneak-peak inside 13thFloor, and viola, we find the most amazing view!!! Bangalore looks beautiful from up there!!
It was around 6:30, weather was perfect, it had just rained, and there was a rainbow across the green fields, what more could u ask for!!!
It has two sections, interiors are sophisticated & comfortable, and external ambiance is stylish yet simple... I would recommend sitting outside!!
Started of with a dry martini and a kamakoze and ended with amazing tandoori chicken, Chicken Tikka (Called as something else) is highly recommended!!!
Perfect place for a date!!

Nice view of the city...
Service bad, most of the time over crowded, needs prior booking...

Since you don't have any other option in Bangalore, I mean a good "Fine Dine" place on a high rise, 13th floor stills the show.
Service is awful, food is just OK, and actually the expectation was much higher as I heard much about this place.
But if you have already been to some of those places like the Pearl of Orient at The Ambassador, Mumbai (the revolving roof top restaurant on Marine Drive) or at the Deck, The Crown at Residency Tower, Chennai, you will be disappointed with the view, the class, the quality of food and services you get on 13th floor.
I can blame to myself only!!

There aren't too many bars around Southern India that may be termed 'magical'. The Waterfront in Hyderabad and The Harbour Room in Colombo come to mind. If you're in Bangalore, however, do come to The 13th Floor. These people really have a great thing going at the Barton Center. On one side, Ebony. On the other, the 13th floor. As you may already have gathered, no place offers a view of Bangalore as wonderful as this.
I really don't know about the food. Must be good, considering the Ebony association. My advice is, grab a bottle of KF and sit on a bench hugging the parapet. Or a Long Island Iced Tea. The music is retro-cool, and the view of a bejewelled Bangalore coupled with a cool breeze will ensure that you never forget this place.
