GOOD MULTICUISINE RESTAURANT
I had taken few visitors from abroad for dinner on 17/2/2008 and everyone was quite pleased with the quality of food. The restaurant had the perfect balance of continental and Indian food that could address the palates of different segments. In addition, the balance of spice(hot) was commendable especially to those foreigners who could not handle spicy food (hot).
It is a smoking restaurant and as a result it makes the whole place starve for good air circulation. It could be a good idea to ban smoking in the restaurant which could largely benefit the passive smokers that includes good number of kids who accompany their parents/families.

Great food, great VFM
Located near the Chancery Hotel on Lavelle Rd, Desmond's was a hot favorite for my entire group at Microsoft. The a la carte has delicious specials and I'd recommend the karela or paneer here any day - but the best deal here is the corporate lunch @ Rs.99 on weekdays.
Although a lot of restaurants have this option, Desmond's serves the best mix of quality+quantity - 2 veggies, 1 non-veg item, Indian bread basket, rice and dal, salad/raita and house ice-cream!
The owner always ensures you're being taken care of, humbly brings you some Indian bread replenishments sometimes and is very well known in the social circle.
All this makes this restaurant one my top picks in Bangalore!
