I hit Couch last night, it was a bit difficicult to find, considering it was a lounge bar, had to go around the block a couple of times before we found it in a shabby building, I wasnt too impressed from the outside, but much to my surprise, the interiors were fantastic! The theme looked like one thats in vogue this year, a bit rustic, dimly lit, couches and chairs in various quaint shapes thrown around in private alcoves, cement pillars and flooring with wacky rugs and pretty chandeliers from the top floor.I was very happy with the ambience I must say, there was club music playing but I must say I was not so happy with the music effects as it was loud in some parts of the entire length of the floor and some parts it was more like some leftover music.
Coming to the food, we had decided to go completely vegetarian and non-alcoholic(yes I know its a lounge bar but i had contraints unfortunately).I am pretty hard to please when it comes to food as I ve worked for a good part of my career in Europe and I know how European food needs to taste.Much to my delight I was quite happy with the food and the presentation of the food, the mocktails werent on par(one was a bit too sweet and one was very spicy) and that was a big minus. All in all its a good place to go to if you want to relax and spend some time talking with friends after a hard day's work!

well! definately it was not worth writing this review but i thought it was from the biggies....the people who gave bangalore the pub,pub world, nasa.....not a patch on any of these they'r latest offing.
went there on a saturday night as we entered we saw some men with black shirts who were chatting and fagging away....a big no to go with ladies or family as when we went inside the staff too was wearing the same uniforms......therefore the staff was outside when couch was crowded .........
the place has got two levels which look identical......designed by a well known architect sandeep khosla who definately not be proud of "couch"...
its too dull and has a very depressing atmosphere with colour thrown around......cement walls and a cement ceiling ,cmon guys we are going to enjoy in a night club not to mourn....however the music tries frantically to make up for it but its so loud that you want to leave couch as soon as you enter.....
the staff though attentive the service is slow and the food served to us was cold...we did not bother to complain nor found it neccesary to write about it....the drinks taste the same everywhere and this place is no different....
and lastly my hands did not pain writing this review as much as my ears and eyes did as we were seated in couch.
going to this place is a bad! bad! bad !idea

after a rather tiring time at Hard Rock Cafe, we went to the couch, for want of some food and a place to rest our butts. The place is pretty neat. The music is just amazing- starting with some really old rock numbers and moving to house and techno.
For the first time, I felt bad that life stops at 11PM in bangalore. Spacious, not too crowded and huge couches will ensure that you will stay for a long time, enjoying your beer, food and music.
Now this place seriously competes with TGI, and wins when it comes to music. If you are in for some house or techno, not to forget the aptly lit ambience, then this is the place for you.

Recommended by one of my friends, six of us (including the foodie friend who recommended the place) booked a table at Couch for 8 PM on a Monday evening.
Location: The place is quite easy to find; reach Anil Kumble circle (from Cubbon Park side), on the right hand side, there is a Corporation Bank ATM. Above it, spread across two floors is Couch - The Resto Lounge Bar.
First Impression: The doorman will open the black antique style door for you and you are already climbing a wooden staircase that spirals to the first floor. Immediately you are greeted by the maître d (master of the hall). We mentioned about our reservation and he checked his books and asked us which floor we would like to be seated. We asked him to show us around both the floors to which he gladly agreed. There is a live DJ in one tiny corner (I shall come back to him later). The furniture is designed to portray different eras .i.e one set of sofas have a 70s look, another set is typical Italian, I could also see another pair which reminded me of American style. The low tables are meant to be used for ash trays, snacks to nibble on, and drinks. Definitely not suitable for having a proper meal.
Both the floors were almost alike and we chose the 1st floor. There is a bar counter deep inside the hall with typical bar stools. The lighting is discreet and has a good ambiance.
Seating: The sofas here are very comfortable, with pillows for added cushions. You can ask the waiters for additional pillows if you need. The seating arrangement is designed in a way that either you have to sit back and relax, or you have to lean front if you want to chat with your group. Now here comes the DJ part. The music is LOUD. I mean with capital alphabets LOUD! If you want to speak to a person across the table you either have to shout or ask the person next to you to pass on the message.
If you are a bunch of lazy fellows who want to sit back, have a drink or two, then you will love the ambiance here. There was an ash tray on our small table, so smoking is allowed.
Menu: The menu is concise. Easy to browse. Tall but compact in width.
Drinks: Beer starts at Rs. 80. We ordered a pitcher of drought which cost Rs.400. Mocktails are around Rs.150. Absolut Vodka is Rs. 200. House wines are around Rs. 1000 per bottle and French wines are Rs. 4000 a piece.
Food: The menu says the food is in association with SPIGA.
They have a few starters in the Tandoor category and another few in the continental cuisine. We ordered Stir Fried Spicy Baby Corn which was almost like boiled potatoes (Rs. 120) and a Panner dish which came in sticks (my friend ordered the dish and due to the loud music i could not ask him the name of the dish). Along with the panneer, there were two sauces and the waiter dropped the plate and sauce spilled all over. Luckily not on any of us. We also ordered a Caesar salad. The taste of the starters were nothing to write home about. But the presentation was nice.
For main course we ordered two pastas and a ginger fried noodles. The noodles was good. One of the pasta was supposed to have sun dried tomatoes. All i could find was our good old fresh tomato. The pasta tasted like a instant noodles gone wrong. My friend who recommended this place, who was on his third round of Vodka, mentioned that the Panneer Masala with naan is awesome here. Also he mentioned he loves this place on weekends as the crowd will be awesome and filled with lovely babes!
For dessert we ordered an Oreo Cheesecake. When served, it looked like a stingy serving of a thin slice of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce. The taste was really not good.
Soon, we decided to call it a day and asked for the cheque (i would like to call it "bill").
One Mocktail
One Pitcher beer
Eight Absolut Vodka with tonic water
One sweet lime soda
Two Baby corn starters
One Panneer Starter
One Caesar salad
Two Pastas
One noodles
One Dessert
Total Cost was Rs. 3,640 /-
Whats Good: The sofas (couches) are really good to relax.
The ambiance is nice.
The service is between average and good.
The choice of drinks are good.
Whats Bad: The music is tooooooooo loud, suitable for dance floors.
The food is average.
Recommended for having a few drinks.
Not Recommended if you are hungry and need proper food.
COUCH: seating cushy cushy, music bang bang.
