Must say that I'm a bit surprised that Kris sisn't like the food. I've enjoyed the food at Pinxx each of the 4 times I've been there.
What's most striking are the toilets (or for the Americanised, rest rooms): XX and XY, so if you don't remember high school bio as to which chromosome combo is for male and which for female, kindly ask the staff.
The buffet, which is a primarily Indian food (with a couple of Chinese items thrown in along with some nice salads) is very good. The soups were good and so were the salads. The dahi vada was probably the best I'd had in a long time (and surprising place to have it). The mutton was the best non veg dish in the main course, while the rest of the dishes were pretty good.
And now, for the desserts. I could ate just the desserts and skip the actual food if I was in the mood. The dessert section is simply to die for - the variety and the perfection of the desserts simply blows me away every time I go there. From tarts to pastries, from fruits to gulab jamoons, from souffles to more lil cakes, this is heaven if ever there is one. Although the cost for the bufft is a lil high (around 470 inclusive of taxes), if you're the type who can binge on food, you shouldn't have a problem getting your money's worth :)

Went there for friend's bachelor party... from the word go... we knew it was a wrong choice coz the ambiance is strictly family like and u be 'better dont make noice' kinda group. The menu was kept aside and we stuck to the buffet which runs out be 472/- (all inclusive, no drinks) per head.
So we were 12 in all and got a separate place downstairs to let our vocal cords lose. The music is strictly kenny g of whose cd go stuck in the system and they dint bother to change till they dont see a dhaarna outside Pinxx. The dhaarna if u plan to stage has conditions as well... minimum 200 ppl..
The starters (which came off from the are buffet) were just ok ok. The non veg was chicken all the way... (ok i buy it), but such a huge pieces they did not fit in our mouth and in case u dare to chew off smaller pieces then risk your suit. The veg starters were not that impressive, but no complaints....
The buffet is good and guys liked it... over all... i wud rate 3/5
Rgds
