Who would have thought that a simple ingredient like Eggs could be so versatile and someone Eggccentric enough to use this to base a whole business on.

The Egg Factory- An all day diner was a revelation. Came across this quaint place by accident. Had a lunch time appointment with my doctor who practices in the same building as this restaurant. As is wont the doctor was running behind schedule and decided to catch lunch. I had seen this place while on my way up to the doctors and decided to go there.

The interiors are very earthy- brick flooring, wooden tables and those folding steel chairs which seem to be out of fashion.

The menu was presented and lo and behold the world of Eggs opened up. There were many many omlettes , Frittatas( apparently Italian Omlettes), Submarine Rolls, French toasts, Curries offered as combo with either rice or pav, pastas etc etc.

I could not decide what to order and was suggested that I order a Eggs in Spicy onion sauce. The curry was served with plain steamed rice, a small helping of a salad and a papad. Absolutely fresh flavours, non oily curry with steaming hot rice. Relished every bit of it. Was full but was still intrigued by the concept and a second round of ordering happened. I ordered for a Mexican scramble Sub. The Sub arrived . It was just the right blend of soft sub roll and a full bodied flavour of mexican scrambled egg with crunchy spicy jalapenoes, tomatoes and onions. Enjoyed every bit of it.

Though there were many items on the menu that sounded interesting there was no way I could eat anything else.

I will definitely be back soon.
