not indian chinese, not chinese chinese

Great wall is a great place for a unique chinese dishes served in a contemporary international ambiance ..no none of those red lanterns here and the first feeling is your not come to a "chinese" restaurant as you are seated by a polite hostesss .

Amazing polite friendly staff who are probably trained to near perfection to be discreet , helpful and efficient (they do still help kids and ladies with the chair !)

This place is very popular for the chinese food quality . absolutely amazing . The wide buffet lunch spread is superb - you can eat and eat and as they every dish they make is unique and the taste buds get a chance to enjoy a fine experiance and are not overwhelmned with heaps of cornflour, ajinomoto & dishes seeped in oil you usually find in most of the indian chinese restaurants !

At The Great Wall, you'll get surprised by the complete experiance you get ..wonderful food, good view (try for a window seating if you go for lunch) ..great spead in buffet & amazing food (where else can you find crunchy authentic Chinese water chestnuts in your diced vegetables )...I am told they import a lot of the key ingrediants right from China !!

( for some reason I'm yet to figure out ,why, the place has a very peaceful, calm serene relaxed ambiance and thats what you'll love and go back for - besides the food..Maybe its that the space betwen tables is large so you are not jostling and enjoy your privac aswell..., or that the interiors emanate a contemporary neat international look , or even maybe the sheer 'vastu' ,or rather the feng-shui if you will ;-) of the place ..Someday I'll will have it figured and promise to share the knowledge here - and maybe if any of you have it figured - as they say "pls tell na !!" )

BOTTOMLINE : Incidently the place is now very popular with corporates and families - still usually don't need a table booking so give it a try....

(BTW if you go for the reasonably priced buffet lunch - but do take detour to the desert counter as you load up your plate - lest you get too stuffed up to miss out on the wonderful fruits and desert there !! )

Lovely place they love the roaches and rats

Dude,
I checked out this place after reading such a great review posted by you. But was completely let down. This place has a feel of a roadside dhaba now. I found a rat running across the room and spotted a few roaches too. I immediately left this place and I personally do not recommend it to anyone until and unless you have a fetish for rodents.

Romantic dinner or Party with friends

An absolute winner, Crossover Point, with its three restaurants and a lounge bar, offers flavours and ambiance to suit any mood. Hang out with friends at Silver Tube - cool, silver and, yes, oval-shaped like a tube, with a glass dance floor. Lie back on the cushions and watch the lights dance on the ceiling as you sip the perfect Mai Tai the bartender has shaken up and nibble on some starters - the Singapore pepper prawns is an excellent choice.

When you are ready for dinner, the casual outdoor atmosphere at Fire and Ice with its pebbled floor and sweeping views of the lit Airport Road flyover, will warm your heart with barbecues and grills from across the world. The grilled chicken with curry sauce which I tried was perfect – succulent chicken legs with a tomato, onion gravy and a spiced yogurt sauce. If you would prefer an intimate dinner instead, try the Ville Chaumiere, a fine dining restaurant, with a wine and cheese menu, and serving European, Mediterranean, Far Eastern, Middle Eastern and Indian food. For vegetarians, the Crossover Point restaurant located on the lower floor has varied lunch options including a buffet, live pasta and stir fry counters and an a la carte dinner menu.

Crossover Point is an ideal place to party with your friends as well as for a romantic dinner. Service is impeccable and the restaurant has valet parking available. Crossover Point is open from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm and from 7:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Dinner for two, including a drink each, will cost approximately Rs.1800
