Mostly about ambience
When you are going to an expensive place like jamavar you expect only the best in terms of food, service, ambiance and the overall experience.The ambiance is very good, the service excellent but the food is disappointing.It's not the quality of food but the taste which is a bit bland and mostly average.
Bland maybe because of the no of foreigners they attract or vice versa.If you want to take foreign delegation for outing ,this is the place.Otherwise this place can be avoided, there are better places in Bangalore or the least I would say is that first try out the restaurant of other 5/7 star hotels that dot the city and come here after you are bored of those places.

Good. I've seen better though.
Many people have said this place serves some of the best Indian food they have had in India. But then while I would not deny that the food is good, there are better restaurants. And certainly you need not pay as much as Jamavar charges. As part of the Leela Palace, this place is to say the least expected to be good, so when I had food there maybe I was expecting more. I only had the vegetarian food which was good but really could have been better. The non-vegetarians seemed to enjoy their meals better, though.
