Seven members of the Bangalore Gourmets group enjoyed a fun lunch at The Ugly Duckling.
The restaurant has nice interiors but there wasn't a duck in sight (not even on the menu to Vinay's surprise).
We sampled the Nutty chicken and Stuffed Mushrooms for starters. The Nutty Chicken was sweet and the stuffed mushrooms did not have salt.
For the main course, we ordered the Moussaka, Three pepper chicken, Stuffed Chicken, Prawns Souvlaki and Make your own pasta.
The sauce along with the stuffed chicken and the prawns were delicious. The Garlic Bread was very tasty.
And finally for dessert, we ordered the Creme Caramel, White and Dark Chocolate Mousse which was slightly overwhelming, coffee and hazelnut gelato and the Ferrero Rocher wedge which was delicious and sinful!
This is a fun place to try, but overall the food was just ok. Our bill came to Rs 3000 including tips.
