Heavenly Banoffee and Pepper Surprise 2012-05-24
Last Friday (18th) was a fantastic friends' soiree at The Fat Chef.
Although a very busy evening (there was some play on at Jagriti), our orders were taken care of promptly. One of my friends has an egg allergy - and the head chef (Abhijit) personally came and checked with him - what can be made for my friend.
Veg clear soup is not on the menu but the kitchen tailor made it for us. The mushroom starter was just yummy. And then the main course - pepper chicken / veg lasagne / chicken wrap with prawn and cheese and fish curry rice. the table was brimming with aroma. And to end... read more -

Fish in a Bag 2012-05-24
A friend of mine had come in from Germany and he wanted some good non spicy food and the best place i could think of was the FAT Chef.
He loved the Barbeque Chicken wings as the starter , looked spicy but was just right for him.
As for the main course he had the Beef Stake with pepper and mushroom sauce and swore that it was equally as good as what he had had in Germany where he works.

Went to the fat chef again on saturday for dinner and came out feeling happy and satisfied.the new specials of the fish with leek and capers was really amazing beats the grill fish lemon butter any day.after reading the review below i really felt that it was so unfair, as we too had booked a table and we too cldnt get the parking but we were told politely to park at sigma tech park which we did,i cannot imagine any of the 3 owners being rude as i am a regular and every experience of mine has been great. -

Arrogance - Digest or Leave 2012-05-20
Background : Had seen many good reviews about this place and decided to go for it on 18th May, Saturday evening. I had my mother ( a diabetic patient with 400 sugar level) and I am myself recuperating from a surgery - so we wanted to go to a place close by (we stay in Marathahalli).
Prior to Visit : I called up and made a booking @ 9.45 PM. On my husband's insistence, I checked if parking is available (as it is me & my mother wanted to avoid walk) and the person taking the booking confirmed, parking is ample.

If you are looking for an outdoor dining experience with food prepared with the utmost efficiency and that which reflects in the service 'the fat chef' is the place to be.
I had the most pleasant afternoon at The Fat Chef.
As i was entering the restaurant...the owner and what I presumed a regular at the restaurant were discussing the steak her guest always loved having here.
The fact that within a year of its opening this place has regulars with some favorites says a lot about its credibility.

Flies in Food & Arrogant Staff 2012-05-08
Well at first looked like a place to be but..."flies" swimming in" Watermelon Ice Tea" and few of them relaxing on Caesar Salad ruined whole dining experience if planning to go here on weekends and especially during afternoon "Avoid it" hell lot of "flies" hoover around and you have to quite literally cover your plates and eat. I used to be a regular at The Fat Chef -- and made it back recently after a break of a few months, having just watched the opening of a new play at the theater next door. My friends and I had an absolutely fantastic evening, and I felt compelled to finally write this review on Burrp. The restaurant has not lost any of its cozy and warm ambiance, The food was different (try their beer-batter prawns, or their watermelon salad -- truly yummy) and exciting as always, and the wine choices continue to delight. went to the fat chef after a play and as usual it was buzzing,have been there so many times for lunches and dinners and have always loved the food and ambience,the specials board always makes me smile wanting to try out,these guys have the right mix and are doing a good job,by far the best food and ambience in whitefield area. -

Horrible Service in Fat Chef 2012-05-04
Fat Chef is near to my office, we had been there for a team lunch on a Friday, We ordered some starters which was served 40 minutes after we ordered and after regular reminders and the Main course was much later after further 30minutes wait. There were lots of house flies, But the Most horrible experience was when we asked the steward for list of desserts, He just with an attitute and rude tone asked us to check for ourselves on the black board on the outside (as if we were not welcome). We all left without having the desserts.

It was one of those break-the-ice meals that I had here. I had had a fight with my friend and were more or less quiet the whole weekend.He new if something could cheer me up and get me to talk,it was good food.Anyday, any time good food makes me forget all bothers of life.The fat chef is a dainty place.I could go there just for the ambiance if not for the food.We ordered strawberry ice tea, fish n chips and a minced lamb pizza.[This visit was about 2 weeks back and i am surprised i still remember the dishes correctly :D ) .
