Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!
Went over for an evening with friends. Probably the alcoholic drinks were the only thing my friends enjoyed. The food was way too bland. The mean and prawns felt like they were just dipped in some masala and sauce and given to us. My lime juice with mint tasted more like water with mint. Ive had this drink at many places and did not expect to have the worst one here. Not worth it AT ALL!
I am basically a drinker. What matters the most to me is the way booze is served. Therefore, starting from this one, all my reviews are going to be on bars and lounges ( how i hate this word) and pubs and wine shops of our bengalooru.
Blue bar is a phenomenal place to start if one is looking for quality, quantity, ambience & service all in one place.
Well, here it goes.
First things first. How many of you even know that West End Hotel, where this lovely little bar is situated is a Heritage Hotel???? ( yes, yes, we have heritage hotels in this country too)
After having visited the Blue Ginger, we thought we'd check out the Blue Bar. Apparently, we don't learn from our mistakes.
The place was rather empty on a Friday night, and even though it filled out slightly as the evening wore on, it was "too empty" compared to other bars/pubs in Bangalore that had seating room only (such as the 13th Floor Ebony).
The lighting was so poor that the waiter had to bring a pocket torch after were were squinting at the menu with our cell phone lights. The cocktails with wine were massive let-downs. The prosecco was flat and tasteless, the bellini... read more
The Saturday night fever was on and the 5 of us had to decide quickly on celebrating a friend?s promotion. One of us suggested The Blue Bar and who wants to say no to the best? So, there she was the new Ms.AVP agreeing on it and we landed there at 9:45PM. Taj West End is the biggest in Bangalore flaunting the trees and lush green lawn all over. Well, this place looks beautiful in the day time than in the night.
I had never noticed a ballroom there before! I did look quite big but dint go anywhere near it to check it out. We were hanging outside the Bar for a while waiting for the boys.... read more
Me and my wife ventured to go out to this most happening drinking hole of the town. And it was a memorable evening. We had a martini, a pint of corona, a lager draught, Chicken Tikka. Later had a cappucino and a chocolate pudding at Mynt. The bill came around 2000/- but a must visit for all Bangaloreans. This is indeed the best Taj property in a city.
This is by far the best atmosphere, most romantic setting you'll get in Bangalore. Staff is great yet prices are high - but not too high to miss out on this place... Just try, lounging before dinner or partying afer (if the stupid government rules allow)
