The Saturday night fever was on and the 5 of us had to decide quickly on celebrating a friend?s promotion. One of us suggested The Blue Bar and who wants to say no to the best? So, there she was the new Ms.AVP agreeing on it and we landed there at 9:45PM. Taj West End is the biggest in Bangalore flaunting the trees and lush green lawn all over. Well, this place looks beautiful in the day time than in the night.
I had never noticed a ballroom there before! I did look quite big but dint go anywhere near it to check it out. We were hanging outside the Bar for a while waiting for the boys. As expected, they were late!
As we chatted, I noticed a classy, heritage restaurant next to the Bar called The Blu Ginger, a Vietnamese Restaurant where most of the patrons were firangis.
The Blue Bar also had firangis in addition to the regular Indian crowd. Guys, you may love this place as it was filled with chicks and you may also want to bring your girl out to this place to impress her!
It?s a circular floor with the bar stand in the middle and a few tables at the edge. Don?t expect the chairs there to be empty. Rather enjoy the drink standing, shake your legs, enjoy the music, have fun and that makes your day.
This place is of course expensive, after all the 5-star tag it has, but believe me they make some of the best cocktails. The guys had their regular Johnnie Walker, the other 2 friends of mine settled with Bacardi and I ended with a Green Apple flavored Martini and a Mojito. I?ve tried these two cocktails in many places but, felt it was made the best here! My friend, who was hosting the party, hardly takes drinks and loved both of mine and tried the same later.
All in all, a cool place to hangout once in a while
