  • Really cosy, quaint little place 2011-12-16

Food is home-style cooked, but reasonably priced. The ambience is really cosy, and the waiters never disturb you to leave. You can sit around all day chit chatting. Service needs a bit more of a upgrading, but still I can live with that given all the other positives.

  • Quite place, good food, reasonable 2011-06-27

A small but comfortable seating, quite place to chit chat, enjoy quality time alone or in a company.
We ordered greek burger, pasta, minstrone soup and some french fries - all for a little above 350. I believe it is reasonably priced. Food was tasty, service was decent and quick.
Overall, a must try on a lazy afternoon.

  • Ants cafe's Mediterranean Chiken 2011-03-03

Pretty place and cute but small chairs for big bottoms.

The dish we ordered (Med Chick), was of rather poor quality: the chicken was hard, pieces of chewy gizzard and other unpalatable thingies in it, and not really Mediterranean. To top it all, it cost a whopping 250, and :) we were made to pay for it...

  • Relaxed place, yummy food! 2010-07-29

This is one of my favourite places for an all-time breakfast. As I have a tendency of waking up pretty late in the day on weekends, most places stop serving breaksfast and this is one of my go-to places. I love this locality and hope a get a house nearby someday :) Take a favourite book of your own, or grab a book from their bookshelf, sit on their eco-friendly, cosy rooftop cafe and ponder over your order. I love all the omellettes they have... specially the spinach frittata omellette. I also liked the kiwi soda pop. oh and chocolate pancakes with a scoop of vanilla icecream and chocolate sauce... read more

  • Ants cafe is a good find 2010-04-04

Here is a cafe that is well located. It is not difficult to spot yet it is tucked away from the bustle of the 100 ft main road. Its cozy and warm and its food is really well priced and well made. All in all I was really excited with this find, and have made it one of my recommends, if you want to just chill chat and nibble over a cup of coffee.

  • Relaxed laidback breakfast 2009-12-22

We went to this place on a Sunday morning looking for a lazy relaxed breakfast and thats exactly what we got.
The Cafe is above an interesting store that retails handicrafts from the North East and also stocks books from Blossom.
We ordered the Omlette blast which was a huge omlette (they must have used atleast 3 eggs in one omlette!) generously stuffed with salami, ham, olives and jalapenos served with some fresh whole wheat bread. No cutting corners at this place! Excellent value for money at just 110 bucks. The menu has a decent selection of eggs, sandwiches and tea/coffees. The

  • Think mini-100 Ft Restaurant.. 2009-08-29

If you've been to 100 ft restaurant, be prepared for a little bit of a feeling of deja vu as you enter Ants Cafe. Everything from the pebbly entrance way to the walk through a boutique (eco friendly chic) to the climb up to the cafe is very similar.

However the similarity ends at the food. Where you can be reasonably assured of decent to very good food at 100 ft, Ants has a lot of catching up to do. And I do mean a lot.

I visited twice on one day thanks to the very charming ambiance. The extremely so-so pastas and starters which started their life in the freezer (potato wedge

  • Quiet, Laid back, hangout with friends... 2009-03-23

Went here on a weekday, during lunch time. I don't know why I decided to drag my friends to a "cafe" for lunch, but It didn't seem like a bad idea at the time. Though I am sure now, I wouldn't go back there for lunch again. I wouldn't mind going back for a coffee and conversation though.

    *The food first*
At the prices they are charge, the food really doesn't taste as good as you would expect it too. I am not claiming to be a great food critique, but the pasta was too saucy the salad had nothing but lettuce, dry chicken. No other leaf.... lots and lots of lettuce. After a point
