don't expect "sorry" or "excuse me" 2010-05-26
The Tavern is one of the best pubs in Bangalore, however do NOT sit at the bar if being elbowed in the ribs or having someone's food order shoved in your face is not your style. The staff are not aware of the use of "excuse-me" or "sorry". Beer is good and well kept, but the bar menu is pure carp, chilli, chilli and chilli, everything (apart from the French-fries) tastes the same (I've stayed at the museum for 3 years on and off, I know). A decent bar menu would do this place proud!!!! -

Cool place to chill out! 2010-05-19
The initial plan was to goto The Couch on a Wednesday evening. But, this seemed to be a total flop as there was hardly any space left for us! And this was at 7:15PM!!!
It was jam packed and we decided to move to Tavern at the Inn as suggested by my friend.
We walked it up to the museum road and found the pub not too crowded. After all, we went there pretty early!
It was Wednesday and like most of the places, it was “Ladies Night” and for obvious reasons my friend was fuming over me saying, men never get free drinks. On Wednesdays, its “Buy 1 Get 3 Drinks” offer for women. Started... read more -

Horrible service and food 2009-10-14
On my way back from office I dropped into Bamboo shoots to pack some Dimsums, i ordered and stepped into Tavern for a drink. The waiters there are all some 10 years backward in terms of service, when you ask them if something is good they take offence and one of the waiters just bluntly said the order is bad. When my Dimsums arrived they were minuscule in size and they charged me 200 bucks a plate. It didn't even taste good. Ridiculous! Why do people rate this place so high. Awful service and bad food. -

Nice Place, albeit Expensive 2009-09-21
Like any other BJN outlets this place is a winner in terms of service, food and the booze. Ambiance is much better now, considering they have a smoking room.
Love the prawn pepper fried there. But hated the potato basket.
Drinks i liked: Muddy water, Turquoise blue.
Turquoise blue is like a blue lagoon with a dash of old monk at the top. Very new and refreshing. Great starter of a drink. -
