The initial plan was to goto The Couch on a Wednesday evening. But, this seemed to be a total flop as there was hardly any space left for us! And this was at 7:15PM!!!
It was jam packed and we decided to move to Tavern at the Inn as suggested by my friend.
We walked it up to the museum road and found the pub not too crowded. After all, we went there pretty early!
It was Wednesday and like most of the places, it was “Ladies Night” and for obvious reasons my friend was fuming over me saying, men never get free drinks. On Wednesdays, its “Buy 1 Get 3 Drinks” offer for women. Started off with some Tequila Shots followed with some Wafers, Vodka and some pints of beer. With this, we had some muchies – a platter of multiple chopped vegetables with some grated cheese on top – all served in fried cups with some sweet and spicy sauce.
This was good and there were more of mushroom than any other vegetable – one more reason for me to like it more! I think it was called Platter of Veg Golden Basket, which was undoubtedly was very good.
Towards the late evening, the crowd started getting better and the music is something that you would never regret of in Tavern. It was a perfect evening! The only hitch was about the waiters. They were always walking at a snail’s pace and each step of theirs was so heavy and it looked as though all of them had a difficulty in moving around for serving food. But, for this, Tavern seems to be a perfect place to enjoy the drink with friends.
Overall damage was around 900 bucks! Definite recommendation for guzzlers and others who would want to chill out!
