Benne Masala dosa to die for 2012-03-29
I went with very high expectations and was not disappointed. The masala dosa was just amazing, but was quite small! One can easily gobble 2 of them. I also tried their rawa idli and poori masala and they were absolutely delicious.
The place was crowded and it was painful to find a place to sit despite the waiters' best effort. -

The best butter masala dosa in the city 2012-01-01
You wont be able to stop at one - a min of 3 butter masala dosas will satisfy the palette. A plate of Mangalore goli bajji is not to be missed.
Amazing food, good service (esp after renovations now). -

Overhyped 2011-09-24
I might be the only one in the string of reviews here who might disagree that this places serves the "best masala dosa" in Bangalore. Bangalore is a huge place and if a tabloid like TOI claims this serves best dosa, it might be the truth for many but I dont agree, I am not much on ambiance but I do like to eat at a place where I am paying for the Dosa and not the other way round where the waiter is doing me a big favor by serving me. Frankly, there is a davangere benne dosa fella near my house in basavangudi, he makes much better bene masale than this place. Then again everyone seems to like this... read more -

Best dosas in bangalore 2011-09-03
The best places for yummy dosas in Bangalore. I would rate this better than Vidhyarthi Bhavan in terms of quality, cleanliness and service. Although don't expect a service as in a restaurant as this is more so a fast food joint. The main pain point is parking as its tough to find a place nearby. -

Butter masala dosa is their speciality and it wont let u down! Goli bajji or mangalore bajji are delicious too... make sure u tell them to give u hot bajjis! This place is a must try for all those craving for south indian breakfast! One could have a shared hot coffee or tea here for the perfect breakfast ending! -

If you are a fan of crispy golden red Benne Masala Dosas, this is the place you need to go in Bangalore. The ambiance is like yester-year Bangalore eateries but that adds to the charm. It is a crowded place (esp. on weekends/holidays) and hence be prepared to wait for your turn.. -

For me, who believes that dosa is the best and the proudest contribution by a Kannadiga to the mankind, that perfect crisp, sound, crunch, smell, size and texture of the CTR BENNE masala dosa, is orgasmic, to say the least. Pudina chutney steals the show. 2-3 masala dosas and filter coffee after that- you learn what eternal bliss is! -

I've been a visitor to this place for the last 16 yrs, right since their esteemed and most precious BENNE MASALA DOSA was priced about Rs 9/-. Bunked classes during college to eat breakfast with friends there.
I go there only for Dosas. The wait time to get a table and then your order is something you will regret, until you get to dig at these master works of Art. The min no of dosas I eat is 2, max eaten so far is 4. Dont be decieved by the outer looks. -
