This is my second review for SOS on burrp. And true to their acronym, after eating their cake you'll make a small trip to heaven and back. For my birthday this time my husband ordered the Raspberry and Irish Cream Gateaux, which wins the race of all cakes in the running by probably a continent. 2.5 kilos of this vanished in exactly 5 minutes after I cut it. I say no birthday is perfect without the perfect cake and what do you know. A year ago because SOS couldn't get Baileys Irish Cream (and she uses only that for the cake) she wasn't taking any orders for this cake, so I was really thrilled to get this one for my birthday this time around.
It's a pity that they don't do novelty cakes though, because for my daughter's birthday last year I went to Bliss Cakes and I really felt like I was cheating on SOS for doing that. Well, that Pooh bear cake was a disaster with both the looks and taste. Pooh bear looked like some distorted creature, not from this planet. Taught me a lesson to cheat on my fav cake place.
So SOS it is always for cakes. If you haven't tried them yet, you should.
