  • You pay while we break the law 2011-01-16

$ we get baby corn when we ordered chili basil mushroom.
$ one has to beg for regular water !
But here is what stole the show.. We get the bill where theyve charged 125 instead 104 for each pint of beer. Sheesha was charged 250 instead of 222. When asked, the waiter called the manager Dan. He of course looks like a bouncer from a sleazy bar. To our surprise, he pointed us to the fine print that said 'prices subject to change'. Then he had the nerve to say we don't have a license for alcoholic beer, so you have to pay a premium. Soul does not deserve a place in the heart of bangalore !

  • Unreasonably expensive. 2011-01-07

My friend and I decided to go to Soul and we ended up there. We were greeted by this gentleman who seemed very friendly and wished us Happy new year! So we ordered chicken wings which didn't taste or look like chicken wings! Although I am not a fan of Sheesha/Hookah, we ordered Apple [?] flavoured hookah. The beer was supposedly German which my friend recommended so we ordered two beers as well. My friend ordered for Sprite to go with the beer. I had mine neat! :) The beer wasn't impressive either. The music kept repeating and made us realize we were there for a bit too long! My friend apparently... read more

  • A Sheesha bar that entertains 2010-07-06

Came here on the holiday because of the gas hike strike and it was still pretty packed. There was an awesome comedy show going on which was nice, since generally just hookah and conversation can get boring if you don't have the right company.

Crowd is a bit young, music is a bit loud but other than that place is run by people who know their sheesha and the food was delicious. Get the Penne Alfredo and the garlic toast...its covered in garlic which is amazing. Will be back.

The glaring thing about service at Soul Deli is the lack of service IF you don't get a sheesha. My brother and I went there to eat and we were ignored for a long time.

The "philly chicken cheese steak" was nowhere close to any cheese steak sandwich. The taste was good if I thought of the sandwich as a normal chicken sandwich. Just the name didn't fit.

All the menu items were totally over priced for the taste and the portion sizes served. My brother ordered a garden burger, which cost Rs 87, and he thought a McVeggie was much more filling, which only costs Rs 45.

  • Get hooked to the hookah! 2009-09-23

Close friend and a colleague?s birthday party and none of us minded celebrating it on a weekday night. One of her favorites being Soul Deli Café also known as Soul Fashion Bistro, we landed there by 8:30PM. There?s outdoor and indoor seating. I liked both. Since, a few of them were already seated indoors, we followed suit.
We combined 2 tables making it large enough for the 8 of us!

I had never tried hookah in my life until now. The birthday girl herself suggested we should the Pan Masala flavor. And yeah, she was right. Like me, a few other first timers who tried did like it.

    Review soul deli café
Here comes the answer to what bangalore lacks a “real café”.soul deli café on mg road is just the place to go to and absolutely unwind. We went there for dinner after hearing about it from a couple of friends it caught our attention the moment we were opposite it, to put it simply brilliant lighting and an awesome décor blew our mind.

The look of the menu and the wide selection of soups, salads, sandwiches, mains, desserts were spot on. It took us no time to decide what we wanted.

We got started with the burnt garlic cilantro soup, which was piping
