Good spread. But small bites and hence does not feel like a good brunch. Good decor and well priced.

I had heard a lot about this restaurant especially on burrp and was waiting to make a visit despite the place being way off from my usual dine out areas.
Firstly, I had difficulties finding this restaurant and the phone operator at white wasnt smart enough to direct me to thier place.
Anyways, on getting there on a friday night past 10 pm, i was kinda suprised to see the entire place EMPTY! infact through out our dinner, there was no occupancy in the restaurant. I am sure its largely to do with the location.
Moving on, the ambiance is excellent. Very cosy, well lit, good music...i was very impressed. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. They had a pre-set meal for 500 each (1 starter/soup/entree..etc) but I didnt quite like the choices so went for ala carte.
The crunchy vegetables (one of the servers recommendation) was excellent and so was the spniach and cheese on a toast. The garlic bread served in the basket were as good as one could imagine. We were quite full eating these but still insisted on going for another salad (warm veggies) which was a bit of a disappointment. Damage for 2 with drinks - 1200 bucks.
All in all, i loved this place and would def make another visit to try on more of its dishes. The only reason why I would resist the visit would be its location.

Tucked away in Goregaon is this piece of white jewel. Much has been said about the restaurant on Burrp so I won't go into how nice the food and service are and what a great value for money the place is. Two things I was particularly impressed with is the attitude of the manager who struck a conversation with us and was really appreciative of the fact that we made the journey from Juhu to Goregaon to eat there (we didn't think it was really a journey though) and they have the menu on laptops for dinners, which looked extensive with impressive pictures and a bit of history of the dish, etc - quite novel. Their billing goes wrong though so do check your bill carefully before you pay, and hence, one star less in the rating. Otherwise, great place ...

After reading numerous reviews on Burrp - my new guide to food in mumbai, we decided to try out White. I'm a regular at Don Giovanni and hence a visit to any joint claiming to be Italian was almost blasphemy. But the need for some good Italian food (what with Don Giovanni in Juhu under renovation) found us at White.
We were the first ones to arrive and had the restaurant all to ourselves for quite a while, something that’s rare nowadays. The Sunday brunch didn’t disappoint altogether. The buffet consisted of appetizers, mocktails, soups, salad, breads and a variety of accompaniments, a live omelet station, entrees and dessert, quite a spread.
The starters both vegetarian and non-vegetarian seemed like they had been waiting to be devoured for quite a few hours...the result in some, soggy bread, topping with a bit of a dry edge...But then there were a few gems – The Zucchini starter was melt in the mouth and so was the spinach Bruschetta.
The made to order salad was good - Leafy greens, different dressing, cheese – Gorgonzola, Ricotta & Scarmoza and of course a choice of cold cuts.
After gorging on the appetizers, we had little room left to venture into the land of P&P and decided to go with just the classic Margherita Pizza. The pizza was cold when it reached the table and was a tad too dry for my liking.
Always save the best for the last and that’s exactly what the last course was - The dessert spread was good. A good balance of chocolate and fruits – pastries and tarts. I’m always on the look out for good Tiramisu, which since missing in the buffet was something that we ordered and I must say it was good with the right balance of mascarpone and coffee.
Overall I must say that the service was very impressive. Among the best I have seen. The manager was friendly and happy to chat.
Damages: Absolute value for money. Its Rs 450 incl taxes per person plus Rs 450 if you want unlimited beer/ wine.
I look forward to many more satisfying Sunday brunches at white which with time can only get better.
