  • Given up on theatres in Bangalore 2011-03-15

I have stopped going to movies in Bangalore. I'd rather buy a poor quality black market DVD than deal with the hassle. People talking on cell phones. Assigned seats. Bad personal hygiene. Tickets sold out days in advance. Annoying security. The list goes on and on. PVR is not a enjoyable movie watching experience but nowhere in Bangalore is. The only way I'll ever go back is to buy Gold Class seats. They charge a fortune but at least you are comfortable in reclining armchairs. Frankly, I prefer to save money and cuddle up on the coach at home.

  • PVR lost a customer today 2011-02-19

Me and my friends were not allowed to watch a movie at PVR Cinemas, Koramangala, Bangalore, because we had our laptops with us.

Harassing the non-terrorist non-trouble-making customers over a laptop bag is not the best way to ensure customer loyalty. Also, the rule of not allowing laptops inside theaters in a city where almost all other theaters do not have this rule, and where almost all of your customers are IT professionals who come to your theater straight from office, is just plain dumb.

We usually put up with inflated ticket prices, overpriced snacks and the ridiculous conve

  • Reservation on phone review 2010-09-09

I called their reservation number (080-22067882) a lot of times but no one picked up the phone. I once saw that the people who sell the tickets over the counter in the multiplex are the ones who attend to the phones also. As they are busy attending to the customer standing in the queue, they are not able to pick up the phone sooner or reply properly. PVR Cinemas should either remove the inquiry on phone facility or have some dedicated people to attend the calls.

  • Gold Class ONLY review! 2009-11-13

Plz Note, the star rating and the review is restricted to ONLY the Gold class section of PVR cinemas.

I would like to point out the exorbitant rates for the tickets and now a single paisa is worth the price! you pay 750 Rs weekends of 600 Rs weekdays for a single ticket. what do u get?

Plush seating on comfy lazyboy, and if u are unlucky like in my case the reclining option wouldn't work!! and then you have waiters to take your order, for highly priced and below average fare (finger food).
I will NEVER be able to justify 2000Rs food (just finger food) and movie. I dont

  • PVR, the way it is 2009-06-23

Typical PVR ambiance but this one looks huge and confusing occupying an entire floor. I am yet to try the gold class which is just 500 bucks here cheaper than other cities. The food inside the cinema is good here, they have more than just the popcorn and coke counter (btw, they always run outa iced tea and cold coffee here!) they have gelatos and chaats, etc. here!

  • Crumbling 2009-06-21

    - This was probably the first multiplex in Bangalore. It was wonderful with great screen and seats.

    - Even now they have the best sound system in all the multiplexes in Bangalore. I have been to a single movie at two different theatres and I could see the difference in the surround sound in this place.

But I have seen that the place is not maintained properly. The seats are all dirty and squeaky, the mall is crumbling.

If maintained well, this will be the best mall and multiplex in Bangalore.

  • The 1st and Probably The Best in Bangalore 2009-04-09

The Forum Mall was one of the first malls of its kind to have opened in Bangalore. And, ofcourse one of the first multiplexes to have opened in a big way. The multiplex i.e., PVR, has 3 kinda screens names PVR Classic Class, PVR Gold Class and PVR Europa Class.

Classic class is just plain, has extremely simple seats and they don’t take orders inside the cinema hall. Europa has better seats they come take orders from you at your seat. Gold class has recliner seats - really big ones, dam comfy, and you get 1 pop corn and pepsi free. I have noticed at times, people tend to sleep in the
