Last weekend a group of friends and I decided to go to Purple Haze for some good music and drinks. All went well - we had a good time, until it came to paying the bill. Since our bill was a bit on the higher side, we were splitting it equally amongst us. Suddenly out of nowhere and for no reason an employee of the pub hit me hard on the face - twice. I was completely taken aback and did not know what to do. From the beginning, all of us were well behaved and just stuck to our group and did not create any kind of disturbance to anyone. It's good..plays good music...i agree hanging out here is mainly for the music....but i wouldn't recommend if you want to catch up with someone...the music is real loud..can't hear the other person... -

Rocking. Literally! 2010-11-28
What can I say that has not been said before. It plays music I know, it has people who don't stare at women who smoke and scream songs tunelessly, and the staff is an amazingly happy bunch. One word - cult. In the last year and a half, my Purple Haze plans always went awry. Either replaced or completely dumped. But I was there for hours at a stretch last night, came home feeling very very happy, and I am glad today after I realized that youth is not completely lost on me.
