The worst non-veg restaurant I have been to 2010-12-11
I choose ponnuswamy for my sister's treat, what a mistake i had commited, almost felt criminal to have chosen this place after tasting a few dishes. The expectation was high considering the reviews given by my friends, but sadly turned out to be disaster. The waiter just takes orders, they don't bother about serving. The taste of the food is totally pathetic to say the least. Some dishes like chicken kothu parota had raw masala uncooked. After that we realised there is no point in trying to eat this food, rather going hungry would be better any day than suffer eating it.

Lack of Quantity and Shoddy Service 2010-03-04
A few weeks back we had visited Ponnusamy at Frazer town. This place was recommended by a friend. Service here was slow and the servers were confused with our order. Some of the dishes came on time and others took a long time and a lot of prompting to get to our table.
The quantity served per portion also left a lot to be desired, and we had to order another round (and wait...) of dishes.
I would have been ok with the slow service if I landed up during a peak time and had to endure long waits for dishes. But coming here at 7pm for dinner is not exactly peak time for a restaurant,... read more -

Venture at your own peril 2009-09-02
My wife and I were really excited that Ponnusamy had opened in our neighbourhood especially since we were regular patrons of residency road place (which shut unfortunately).
We had visited the Koramangala branch but the place really lacks cleanliness and the service was abysmal so we decided never ever again.
Walking in to this retraunt I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness, the food however is another matter.

Fancy Chettinad food? Ponnusamy is the place to go 2009-08-07
I'm a huge fan of south Indian food. I was thrilled to hear that Ponnusamy Hotel was opening a second branch in Frazer town, close to where I reside. It saves me the trouble of going all the way to Koramangala. Recently, my friends and I visited the newly opened hotel. They have gone with a clean and minimalistic look and the split levels give this place a nice roomy feel as well as the much needed privacy.
