Was the second time in Ping hoping that the things would have become better, but the rating has become 1 star from the 2 star which I rated earlier. No wonder that with the poor reviews, the owners have now stopped replying to the comments.
Wasn't too keen to go, however a friend insisted and hence we went.
Service was really really pathetic. Even when there were max 3-4 tables occupied when we came, the staff was hard to be seen as if they are too busy. Menu came after 2-3 reminders.
Soup/starters - Hot & Sour soup was sweetish in taste. Manchow soup was nice. Spring Rolls were pretty average. Dimsum Platter a big disappointment. Completely unsatisfied with these, we then ordered the standard Dim Sums (similar to Momos) more and they were also average.
The key thing to mention here was that there was a mosquito we found in one of the chutneys provided to us. Really sad.
Main course we ordered in time anticipating delay. Still when it has been 1 hour since we checked, in the main course had not come. By that time we had discovered the mosquito also. So we called for the manager. Manager wasn't available inspite of the fact that it was a weekend night.
Guy incharge was called and a dressing down was given to him. Then our main course appeared in 2 minutes as if it was ready and they were waiting for a firing before bringing the food.
In the while the service was so bad, that tissues came only after 3-4 reminders. Infact once one of the waiters listened to our request and just didn't bother. Instead he asked someone else to give us the tissues and the other guy also missed.
Main course was OK. Nothing great to be voted as the best chinese restaurant in town. One key thing is that the knowledge of the menu to the waiters was very poor. We had kids along with us and we asked for some less spicy noodles. He cited 1 of the noodles (Honkong Noodles if I remember correctly) as spicy. We later ordered these also for us and found them to be sweet in taste. Rice was nice, flat noodles were bad. Side dish was one of potato and other of chicken were OK.
Overall a huge disappointment. If I give score on 10, the scores will be.
