I have been on an epic quest for the most succulent delectable burgers in bangalore. Who would've imagined that the place would be so close to me?
I have searched far and wide, and I can tell you with unwavering confidence, the HoggBurger kicks ass!!
It's got pickles, lettuce, mushrooms, egg, bacon, cheese and the most delicious patty ever... all stacked into a formidable adversary. Nopes....Not Good.... 2011-11-22
Went to Phileas Hogg last weekend and was downright disappointed.Had heard a lot about the place but it fell short. Firstly the service was bad. I got a torn menu and the server forgot to serve water or put the cutlery on the table.We ordered Hummus and baba Ghanoush platter and although the pita bread was hot and soft , both the Hummus and baba ghanoush were ice cold and had absolutely no flavour . I could not taste the chick peas in hummus nor the eggplant in baba ghanoush.

Simply Superb 2011-11-21
Was at Phileas Hogg on Saturday with a few friends finally. Had heard a lot of good things about the restaurant. We tried the Lamb galauti, prawn tempura and the orange chicken and found each one to be excellent. Our main course was the pasta, chelo kabab, grilled chicken and the nalli nihari. Fantastic is what I have to say, probably the best restaurant in the marathalli area. Great value for money with an expansive menu.
Need more options with the desserts though. Overall a stupendous experience with a nice creative decor and we are already planning our next stop at Phileas Hogg. -

Back after eons and the food still rocks!!! 2011-11-02
I was back at Phileas Hogg after a layoff of over 5 months with a few friends last Saturday. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the most of my favourites tasted just the same........"AWESOME". i am amazed at the consistency of the guys there and find it a bit surprising to read other reviews stating the quality of food???
Loved the A-la-Kiev and the burgers.....the galauti was very good and the the khow suey was heavenly.Tried the chelo for the first time and found it quite flavourful and nice....but again.....we need some desserts after a meal like that.......come on guys......whip... read more -

Nightmare Strikes @ Phileas Hogg 2011-08-16
Had been there for dinner after reading the reviews. But to my surprise, it was a terrible experience. We ordered Kakori kabab for starter n it tasted horrible n the quantity was like peanuts (just 3 kababs).
Then came the main course.
1. Steak: It was stone cold n over-cooked. The quantity was super disappointing.
2. Chicken A La Keiv: Was dripping in oil. The quantity was sooooo less.
3. Grilled Fish: It was not grilled but deep fried. Called the waiter and he said grilled was not available. So they got us fried fish. Why on earth did they ever take the order of grilled... read more -

Terrible service & food does not make up for it 2011-07-10
I have two words for you-Don't go!.
THE GOOD: (a) Ambience; (b) Drink variety; (c) Dessert.
THE BAD: (a) Slow service; (b) Starters served without cutlery despite reminders; (c) Water served after starters
THE UGLY: (a) Wine served with A FLY in it. (b) Replaced the wine but not apologetic enough to not charge for it.
Maybe it was a bad Friday for them but it was WORSE for us. Not going back!!! -

Caution : Renovation in progress 2011-06-06
We went over last weekend (28th), and found the building is in absolute disaster state, right from the life area. Lift was not working and the building was in dilapidated state. Horrible. Ofcourse the better part was the food and service.
But I was not amused when the bill did not consider Amex selects offer (which is also mentioned here in burrp). -

Amazing Food | Great Service | Value for Money 2011-05-18
I had been to Hogg last week, and I should say the ambience is very nice. The food is really good, and like others have already mentioned - the servings are huge :). The service was pretty good, didn't feel like they took long to serve the food. They probably are working on improving their service - this is good.
The managers "Ritesh & Arish" are very courteous and friendly - they come around to ensure you are well taken care and fed. You should visit this place for sure. -

If Mr Hogg went exploring around the word at the pace his name-sake restaurant serves, i'm afraid he wouldn't really've gotten around much.
Was working from home last friday, so decided to take the opportunity to visit the place for lunch with wife and kids. The place was full of big office groups out for friday lunch but found one empty table. The menu had a wide selection of conti / indian/ oriential/mexican fare, which always makes me suspicious and wary. Anway, we went ahead and ordered.
