I wanted to eat a lobster from a long time so my sister took me to this restaurant on my birthday.
We had prawns and squid for starter. The portions were very good and filling.
I had a 250gm lobster for the main course. It was delicious! 2 of my friends and sister ordered a thai fish main course and baked oyster. The portions for main course is very small and not filing how ever the taste was splendid. The oysters were the sea bed category i assume as they were really strong in taste. I liked it but my friends did not.

Last Sunday me with my wife and two kids went Oyster Bay for Lunch, Restaurant Was Crowded and had To wait for a few min to confirm my Seats, Truly When the Prawns Reached my table I felt worth waiting, the staff was so courteous that they keep on serving prawns and Fish to our table which I was expecting, My wife enjoyed their Paneer and some crispy Baby corn Starter, the chicken kebab was equally good , They Disappointed me without Serving Crabs which the steward somehow managed to serve a portion to my table.

Unfortunately the day you came we were serving squid (Calamari), however I am happy that you were served with some crab on that day. Very average n' EXPENSIVE food 2012-04-24
The food was not all that great. Ambience was good. The staff was courteous too. We ordered a lot of sea food, expecting some variety in at least one of those. but to our surprise, the food was very average. Very expensive too, for the kind of food they serve. . I'd recommend this place if you have lots of money in your pocket and you dont know where to spend it ;) -

Thank you for visting oysterbay. I am sorry that you were unhappy with our food and price. I looked at our comment cards and did not see any unhappy customers for 23rd lunch and dinner. So I would request you to give your contact number so that my chef can call you to understand more about the issues.

Team Dinner= Trip to the Emergency Room 2012-04-13
What was supposed to be a gathering to bond our team had us taking tablets to prevent vomiting and acidity. While one of us had to be rushed to the Emergency Room for he was going through anaphylactic shock, others were left with headaches and coughs the next day.
Even the small bit of ambience that we tried appreciating was ruined by the loud blaring sound from their TV. If I wanted to watch a match, I would go to a sports lounge closest being dug out(right above) and not Oyster.

I have to first of apologize to you for the real bad experience you had after having food in our outlet. I was out of station and this is why the response to your comments is also delayed. As soon as I saw your message on 27/4/12 I tried to get in touch with you through face book and also called Mr Vanshi who is also out of station. On 14th when you all dinned in OB there was about 45 packs in the restaurant and we did not get complaints from any other guest . so if it was a food illness it would have affected more people. Smokes n wrapes festival a different experience 2012-02-08
I went for dinner on 6th with my friends. They were having a festival smokes and wrapes. I thought it was a very innovative idea. We were served with smoked seafood n basil soup. There was 8 starters. Chicken and spicy smoked squid was severed in skewer in clay pot with charcoal. Prawns wrapped in basil , fish in banana leaf were excellent. They had spinach. HORRIBLE! worse seafood experience ever!!!! 2012-02-07
Based on the reviews we decided to try out Oyserbay and by the end of the evening it turned out to be the bad decision. We decided to go ala-carte but they were having a ‘smoke and wraps’ festival and we were told that they would take a lot of time because everyone was busy with the buffet! We should have taken that as an alarm and walked out but (unfortunately) decided to try the buffet. We have taken your comments in the correct spirt and will strive hard to correct the issues what u have pointed out. There are certain anomalies in your comments. Cost of our buffet is Rs 555 ++ which is net 677 and not Rs 900 as you have indicated. We only had one prawn starter on that day and there was no 2nd shrimp starter as u mentioned in your review. Good food but pathetic service 2012-02-06
Me and my friends went there for the dinner buffet (smoked food festival) on Feb 4th.
They provided a menu with the list of items that will be served on the buffet.
The waiter said starters will be served on the table. After serving the soup a vessel filled with charcoal (smoke chamber :)) was placed on the table. It had around 6 chicken and prawns in skewers. To be frank both were tasting really good. The 6 skewers din last even a minute for 6 of us. After that no one was bothered to refill the skewers. Thank you for your review. I have to apologize to you for the bad service on 4th. We had made clay pots and steel skewers only the festival which started on 3rd feb. Unfortunately a small incident happened that eve and some of the clay pot got broken and since it was made to order we could not source the same over the counter. On that day we were full n we did not have enough clay pot to serve everyone In pot ..so some guests had to be served in plates. This led to some confusion for some time . New Year Party 2012-01-02
One among the best tasted sea food, especially prawns. The buffet was excellent and the roasted duck was served almost perfectly here. The new year party they arranged with a great DJ was rocking, well organized and memorable. More over, great hospitality was note from the staff, especially Chef Mr Francis Thomson, Mr. Pearl and the receptionist. I'd gladly walk into Oyster Bay again. -

A Good Buffet- For sea food lovers 2011-12-06
On the whole food is good esp sea food-crab,fish,prawns. The items could be better, bit on the richness of the food. Deserts were good with the white chocolate fountain.
Overall- good !!! -

Good Buffet Spread, but still can be improved 2011-12-05
Visited on November Last sunday, (2 adults + 1 kid).
Pro's
1) Prawns were really good, Veg starters are also good.
2) Main Course were really(Chicken items were really good)
3) Dessert, Choc fountain were too good.
4) Only the adults were charged, free food for the kid.
5) Staff were really helpful(in getting dishes, suggesting good dessert for the kid)
Con's
1) Even though, its specialty seafood buffet, Fish, Squid were overcooked(starter, squid, Fish curry)
