Disappointed 2012-05-23
thought of trying it.Was extremly Disappointed.. Overrated place.. very expencive for the quality of food.. they put a tax of 21% ( 14VAT and 7% service tax).. If you are aiming at filling ur stomach - best to choose some other place.. over al,Food was okay( avg Taste ).. low quantity.. not a great service aswell..

No more good option to try it out.. quality drastically has been reduced and it is hard to tell which item we liked it today. hope it improves soon.. -

Nothing great Nothing bad! 2012-04-11
I visited Oye recently on 7th April for dinner with family and had a satisfactory experience. This was my 2nd visit to Oye and it lived upto my expectations. The service was rather prompt and efficient. We ordered an all veg cuisine with chaas and starters (makkai kebbab and khumb tikka) to begin with. Although both the dishes came on time, makkai kabab was rather hard probably since it was fried too much. For main course we had ordered, dal makhani, panner curry and pindi channa. Sorry for this late reply as we had some log in issues with burrp. Thanks for the re visit to Oye. We always believe that restaurants leave a mark due only if they have guest thinking of coming back. I would look into the makai dish once again as this is the first time we had this observations. Thank for the feedback and I would like you to taste the dessert next and can assure that the price justifies the quality as all are done in pure ghee. Please check the jalebis and gulab jamoon and you will relish the pure flavor.

Been here a couple of times 2012-04-07
Very bad service, and strictly OK for the price. The first time we went, there were just 2 of us, and we ended up wasting more than half the food as the person taking the order failed to not even bother telling us that when you order roti, 2 are served.
Even the menu is retarded for not mentioning that when you ask for a roti, they serve 2. Even the food quantity was a LOT, and the guy should have told us about it.
They aren't even baby friendly. -

Thanks for visiting Oye. I'm sorry that I had log in issues hence in this delay. I would look into the lapse of service and if you are mentioning of unlimited roti option, we have stopped it. So please do visit us again and also add a note to your observations when you mention baby friendly ? thanks for saying the portions size is ok as i also feel the same :-)

Average food but service ???? 2012-04-02
The name of the restaurant suggested that this place should be tried for authentic Punjabi dishes. But sadly it disappointed me. The situation inside is chaotic. The service is a complete mess. And with the price they charge, the service quality is a huge disappointment. The waiters are clueless and they serve the food as they are prepared irrespective of what is starter, main course desserts etc. The taste is good but its available in any part of bangalore. Overall the expectations in terms of Dhaaba like food is not there. So this place can be avoided. -

I would look into the lapse of service and have been working on this for some time and would request Oye guest to bear with us due to severe manpower crises in Bangalore. We do have believe Oye Amritsar has the soul and the food menu to keep the guest happy on every visit and are working on the new image and menu shortly once our new Indirinagar facility opens in june.

I went to Oye Amritsar@Koramangla with my frenz bcoz i heard a lot about this from many,but frankly sayin i feel totally disappointed.We ordered starters which came after almost 1/2 hr and main course we ordered Paneer & Chicken which was also not upto the mark. Paneer was nothing special and chicken was really out of taste.I thought at the moment that i can eat much better in TASTE & QUANTITY at any other restaurant. The only 2 things i liked is Ambiance and Lassi. It's good only for just a try. -

I would have been in a better position if the dishes could have been mentioned but would look funny to ask this after a long period of you're visit. We are working on the new feel and menu at Oye and sure that some of your observations will surely get addressed during this excercise. Request you to visit us again once and do look for the indiranagar 80ft road faciltiy opens in june as you have loved our lassi and ambiance and you will 100% love the new facility too. Oye for now.

Highly Disappointing, Feel cheated 2011-12-19
Yesterday night we went for Dinner and ordered for a "one by two" shorba as we normally do in all restaurants, we dont want to fill up before our dinner and so we normally order only half. To our surprise the shorba which came was not more than 10 spoons, and I mean it as I counted the number of spoons, additionally it was not very hot as well, we ordered the shorba as it was very cold yesterday night and your ambience has nothing to get cozy.
When I reported this to the Manager there, he said that is the portion they always serve.

I would lile to say that the portions size of shorba is really good for a single person just to ensure we dont kill the appetite of our guest. Sorry that the captains did not mention this during ordering. It would really help to know the dishes ordered to work on them but as we are past the time I could only invite you again for a better experience. So please do vist us again and Oye for now.

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING !! 2011-12-17
I went to this place today evening as my cousin was treating us on his bday and came back highly disappointed...... and embarrassed for my cousin whose treat got spoilt!!!!! This was my 2nd visit in last 1 year and its still the same. The service sucks... its damn damn slow.... The main course was served in 45 mins(recommend changing their name from Oye Amritsar to Soye Amritsar!!!) and when it came it was COLD !!!!!! We noticed this when we started eating our food. Guess,the damage is already done. Once bitten, twice shy /burned/learned !!!
To add to my review, I would also like to complain about the lighting at the restaurant which was not ample. A candle light dinner was what we got but we were hardly able to see whats written in the menu card or whats being served to us. We ordered 3 different kinds of breads but it was next to impossible to distinguish them without having a bite.
Anyways....... !!

I just returned from dinner with my family at this place. We ordered starters, main course, lassi, chaas, beer. The food was good but we had ordered too much food and barely finished less than half of the dishes.
We had asked the servers to parcel te left overs so we could take it home. My wife was just putting away the parceled food into the fridge and realized the servers at the restaurant had kept most of the food. The butter chicken dish was on 1/3 finished and they packed no chicken pieces and only a little bit of the gravy. The saag and rice was less than half of what was left... read more -

Heavy D would like this place (RIP) 2011-12-03
Nice place where you can sit upstairs, has a crowd if you're bringing friends or associates so you can at least pat yourself back for the venue, and is tasty Indian food from most parts of the country.
The food is very heavy though - so if you're like me trying to show it off to your mom while she visits, don't over order. If there are four of you, three dishes and a starter are enough. But let's be honest, you will see the variety and go overboard anyways, so just be warned. -

Thanks for visiting us. We do charge 7% service charge on the government levy of 14%. This is standard in most of the restaurants in the city serving liquor and food. Look forward to seeing you again and we do have some dishes which are really KING size but not suggesting them online as i don't know if you are a Veg or a NVegy.
