went here last june. extremely expensive - neither the portions nor the taste justified the prices. the sardines were outstanding - about the only thing. priced around 30% over reasonable.

  • Over rated restaurant 2009-12-15

Very sub standard food on two occasions that I have been to it. The food recommended by the Chef was served cold and quite unpalatable. Its laughable the decor and all the guise of being an european restaurant.Menu needs to be seriously reviewed. I do not recommend this place at all! The waiters have a bored look on their faces and are not very attentive. As for the Chef posting his posters on his trip to France- rather sad!!

  • Awfull Service is an understatement 2009-11-26

Since our office is close by we tend to try interesting places and yes by any stretch of imagination Orange Peel was really above expectations.
Tucked away from the dusty roads of Shivajinagar, this is a pleasant place to be in.
So yes they have an interesting menu, the lunch menu in particular wher they had TDH menu . (198/- per head not inclusive of Tax)

And the only reason you would try the menu is coz the Ã? la carte is unimaginably over priced .
So hmm considering you are at a french fine dining place expecting your food to be timely is one thing, mixing

  • Pretentious, over-priced and bad food 2009-11-11

Orange Peel is on Hospital Road in Shivajinagar and right opposite a wedding hall. On the day we went there, a wedding was on, and the valet parking attendant of Orange Peel seemed to be at the helm of affairs guiding wedding traffic. This left us, waiting in the car for his attention. It was raining and so I couldn't get down with my sleeping child to get to the restaurant. Hubby dear spotted the valet attendant's umbrella (which he has to use for guests) and ran to get it for. By then the guy came around, took the umbrella and got someone to park away our car.

    Orange Peel had the Hallowe

  • Nice date night 2009-08-10

After reading several reviews of Orange Peel I had very high expectations for a lovely dinner date with my hubby. Although we had a nice night it was certainly not memorable.

I was delighted to learn that we had fortuitously arrived on Ladies Night so I was offered a free drink. I tried the Mojito with brown sugar and it was delicious.

As for the food, Orange Peel offers an Indian menu and a European menu on the reverse side. Our appetizer of bell pepper crostini's was also very good and I would recommend it. I couldn't wait to try my Chicken Cooked with 25 Cloves of Garlic,

  • Enjoyable meal that ends with a shocking twist 2009-06-11

After much debate about where to head for dinner, we settled on a "new Spanish restaurant" my mum's colleague had suggested the week before. We ventured out for dinner, expecting to be greeted by appetisers of Chirizo Sausage, Olives and Croquettes, and sated with platters of Paella accompanied by pitchers of Sangria. My mother's friend obviously cannot tell the difference of a tortilla from a pancake or a even a dosa! But enough about the identity-crisis.

Enter Orange Peel, located at Zync Cafe, right next to Safina Plaza: A banner advertises a live tepanyaki counter. Confusing! But,

  • Fresh-O-Orange 2009-02-24

My friend and I materialized our long term plan last evening. Finally!!
Looking at the reviews on burrp!, we were so much impressed and wanting to go there soon. Last evening, we wanted to have something light and not stuff ourselves with too much food, we could not think of any other place but Orange Peel.

This located on the same road as that of Bowring Hospital and St.Mary’s Church and adjacent to Subway. They’ve painted it Orange and white all over and due to the Venice Carnival Fest all this week, they have the old Vespa scooters (all newly painted in the bright red and violet)

  • i heart orange peel 2008-11-22

I discovered this restaurant quite by chance- I used to be a frequent shopper at sanctuary- a store that sells very pretty knick knacks for around the house (and also some clothes- though I am not a big fan of those). The restaurant is in the courtyard of the old jewish bungalow that houses the store sanctuary. Located just behind Safina Plaza- the restaurant is an amazing location offering some peaceful open air dining in crowded commercial street area.

There was a restaurant called Zync earlier that has now been replaced with Orange Peel. Two of my friends and I decided to sample
