I dont remember how many times I have been to Serengeti. It has become the go to place for us. The quality of food remains consistently good. The chicken dishes are truely mouth watering.
However, there has been no change whatsoever to the ambience of the place and the service has gone down a notch. One would have expected that the management would try to alter the ambience of the place, atleast a little bit over time, to surprise returning patrons. This time around, I was really annoyed by the focus lights which seem to point right at your face and make it very difficult to have a normal open-eyed conversation with the person sitting across the table. One more highly annoying thing was the loud music spilling over from the near by night club which rendered the soothing live music useless.
The people taking the order try their best to be helping but its very difficult to grab their attention to place an order.
The worst thing about this restaurant is that it doesn't have its own wash room.
I have no complaints about the food but the entire dining experience would be much better if the management could take care of the above short comings.
And yes, they do include service charge in addition to the service tax in the bill.
