Avoid this place 2010-10-03
I have been to this place twice as I like tamil food - once for lunch and breakfast. But this place is really bad !!! Food is really yuck !!! Try Pongal in east end - may not have great ambience but excellent tamil food !!! -

Not all that Great! 2010-09-30
My friend and I heard about this new place serving Tamil food. This news was sufficient enough for us to go rejoice! I was hoping to taste some delicious Tamil meals when we reached at 7:30PM. The first thing we gotta know was, they don’t serve meals for dinner. This was the first disappointment. Next, after browsing through the menu, we asked the waiter on certain listings only to realize, many items mentioned in the menu wasn’t available for dinner :(

Recently we had lunch at this restuarant. There were only 4 customers on a busy afternoon for lunch at this restuarant!!!! we should hav followed the crowd & eaten at the food court. The food at myilai masala is pathetic. The rice is of low quality & full of soda. There is no flavour in sambar & rasam its quite bland. Sambar is made from moong dal tastes absolutely bland & is so thick that you cannot pour it it just falls like a blob..yuk. There was no flavour in Rasam. Kootu (one of the best dishes in tamil cuisine) is made as another concreate dish. I would rate darshini food better than this... read more -

Excellent Tamil Meals... 2010-08-02
We went there today for lunch.
We ordered one Executive Meals (60 Rs) and one Special Meals (95 Rs).
The food was very good. It's 'Tamil' meals. The spice was little less than what I like normally. But the taste of all items was good.
Good part was the food served very hot and fast.
The manager (or owner ?) we spoke to was a nice gentleman and polite person. He was always trying to help whether we need anything else.
There is always room for improvement, but it's very decent meals in this area.
Be aware that the food is 'Vegetarian' only.. -

to die for tamil meals...the service and the cleanliness is much to desire for...needs a lot of improvement...if these 2 areas are improved...the food tastes amazing...improvement on the menu (addition of a proper sweet), better cutlery will draw more crowds....definitely a place to have a nice meal...but not on sundays...gets over crowded and you might end up sharing ur cub with a few others... -
