Fantastic location, the biggest chain of Chinese restaurants for company and exorbitant prices.... I was hoping for this to be good....
It surprised me when nobody thought alike and we were the only ones in the restaurant for a 'late'ish lunch.
We chose seating with the sofa and were waiting for another friend to turn up. Since it was almost 3, the maitre'd wanted us to order quickly since the kitchen shut down at 3...
Ordered a Thai soup with a coconut milk base (prawn) and a veg sweet corn (with a fancy name) soup. Also ordered a prawn starter. Placed the order for the main course too.....
This is when the ordeal started. The first cockroach. Dismissed it as a one-off thing. The soups arrived. And then the second cockroach. Called a waiter this time. Now this is no exaggeration but he chased it all over the table. It finally found shelter below the table. The prawn starter arrived. We were just starting to get irritated and a female friend was pretty edgy by the time. Requested a change of tables....
Round 2: The roaches arrive at the new table too... The other friend had arrived by then.. That was when we could'nt take it anymore ... Requested for the bill....
The maitre'd was courteous enough to not charge anything but on second thoughts it would have been odd had he charged us... Overall a really bitter experience with the only saving grace being the staff which was pretty apologetic...
Overall, will NEVER visit the place again.... IMHO they need to improve their restaurant hygiene !!!!! P.S. the food was nothing to write home about.... Starter not good, soups passable....
